It was a good year for reading!
Thank you for sharing Nikki x
Thanks for another interesting & informative year of posts, Nikki!
I am in sunny WA, where we still (until now- touch wood) live like it’s 2019! However, I did have to teach from home during our brief lockdown at the start of the year, whilst my husband worked from another room. I feel for all those in other states and overseas who are doing it tough, as we have family and friends in impossible situations in Australia and UK, Europe & USA – some unable to return & some nursing or medics on COVID wards incl Africa.
My extra reads were Rodham & also Eligible by Curtis Sittenfeld, Bruny by Heather Rose, The Mercies by Koran Millwood Hargrave, Homeland by Fernando Aramburu, The Dictionary of Lost Words by Pip Williams, A Gentleman in Moscow & last but not least a new book by WA author Craig Silvey called Honeybee.
Thoughts are with everyone doing it tough this Christmas. Stay safe!❤️
I absolutely loved Where the Crawdads Sing. I follow Reese Weatherspoons selections and it was one.
You have some of mine in there Nikki. Certainly Skin Care has introduced me to a whole new care regime, and Caroline is an absolute hoot!! (My darling husband washes my 7 white flannels every week and rolls and stacks them beautifully into a basket.) Am also with you on Grownups – just love Marian. However, I think that my favourite top three 2020 books would have to be The Queen’s Gambit, Untamed, and (if you read Glennon’s book then you have to read her wife’s) Wolfpack by Abby Wambach. Looking forward to the Christmas break as my ‘catch up reading time’. Merry Christmas to you and your family!
