I’ve been hinting at it for some time now but it’s here: news and details of the inaugural Style + Champagne event.
I’ve teamed up with the fabulous duo from Champagne Cartel (Gillian Moody and Carolyn Tate) for these events.
We’ve been inundated with requests from our fabulous online communities to host events and are pleased to announce that the first (of hopefully many) is happening.
The first is happening in our collective home town of Brisbane but that doesn’t mean that other cities will miss out in the future. We would love to take the show on the road so stay tuned.
OR … why not make a weekend of it in Brisbane and stay the night somewhere fun? (We can help you with accommodation recommendations.)
So what’s the event all about?
We wanted to create an opportunity for you to take an afternoon out for yourself. Can you remember the last time you did that?
If it was last weekend, I salute you.
There should be more of it – more of the “grabbing the oxygen mask first” and taking time out for YOU.
We’d like you to set aside three hours to do just that on Saturday, April 30.
Girls, grab your girlfriend/s … or come by yourself (we’ll seat you with some cool chicks) and meet new people.
The afternoon will embrace all the elements that our readers love from our online communities – fashion, beauty and “hell-yes” life tips.
What your ticket includes
Your ticket will include three workshops:
I will take you through a style workshop and demonstration, featuring clothes from the autumn-winter Styling You Shop – yes, you’ll get to see the pieces in the flesh.
Gillian is your girl when it comes to looking fabulous with the help of makeup – it only takes five minutes and she’s going to show you how.
Carolyn is the guru on all things lady love – get her tips for smart, sassy women who want to live a “hell yes” kinda life.
PLUS, you’ll receive a glass of Veuve Cliquot on arrival and sit down to a fabulous high tea*. A cash bar will also be available.
Who we’re supporting
Style + Champagne proudly supports two charities: Dress for Sucess and Mummy’s Wish. Both organisations work to help the women of Brisbane in so many ways. Help us to pay it forward by buying raffle tickets on the day. We’ll keep you posted on the event page on Facebook as to what prizes you could win.
Come on over and join in the conversation about the event HERE.
So tell me, will we see you there? Tickets are limited – we can only fit a certain number in the space – so get in quick to avoid missing out.

Seriously considering your suggestion of coming up to Brisbane for an overnight stay. Just need to decide whether to come alone or enjoy a trip with the husband and take the afternoon out for me.
Have you and your hubby been to Brisbane of late? I think you’d have a fab weekend (I’ve got a post running next week with some ideas) and then you could sneak away for the afternoon!
Not for a couple of years- but I was too slow and missed out on a ticket. Oh well will have to move quickly next time and we’ll do a seperate trip to Brisbane.
