Now, I know this little corner of Styling You … the corner that is reserved for Friday dreaming of Wine Time … is usually devoted to five different things from different places.
But I’m breaking my own rules.
Basically because I cannot believe how unashamedly cute the following five things are. Think of them as legendary designer Diane von Furstenberg meets US clothing giant Gap.
Because that’s what we have here.
A match made in little kiddy designer heaven. Makes me wish I had a little girl … KIDDING!
Diane has drawn on her own design bank as well as that of being a mum and a grandma. I love the bold colour palette and prints, a gorgeous change from the sea of pink that usually greets you when searching for little girls’ clothes. There’s also a stack of uber-cute accessories – from sunnies to espadrilles – to work back with the range.
The collection launches worldwide next Thursday, March 15 – and is available at Gap Sydney Westfield and Melbourne Chadstone Shopping Centre OR for those us nowhere near a Gap store – online.
Prices start at $20 through to $120; sizes from newborn to 14 years are available. It is a “spring” collection (we’re getting it the same time as the northern hemisphere) so it’s something your daughter or niece can wear now, layer up and then bring out for our spring in September, I think.
… now if only I could pick up a DVF dress in my size at that price. If only …
What say you? A good option for little girls? Something more in Suri Cruise’s league? And who wants one of those wrap dresses … for themselves?!
PS. If you bought a Seed maxi tube dress and it arrives today, don’t forget to get a photo of you in it and post for us all to see – details here.

Oh yes I would definately purchase one for my 12 year old daughter, as an out to dinner or lunch dress. We are finding good choices in x small and small ladies clothes at the moment and I am having the best time outfitting her as she has the most perfect little healthy figure. Some of the young girls clothes are just too skimpy and revealing for me, and there is absolutely no concern for sun safety! They can leave all that for later. The fabric is also sometimes a bit nasty and synthetic. I always look for good quality fabric which usually comes with a designer and high price tag, but you never know unless you look and try!

Oh Jodie – it would be perfect for your daughter’s age – such a tricky clothes shopping age. I was so glad when my daughter got through it. Good fabric quality is SO important.
Having two sons. 7 nephews and I niece means that my niece gets a wee bit spoilt when it comes to me buying her clothes. Will put these on the list. Gorgeous.
I don’t even have a niece to indulge … keep mentioning that to my sister-in-law!!
DVF = DIVINE! I just wish I could get my hands on some of these amazing finds for my Little Miss.

Amy, it’s DIVINE wrapped up gorgeous little fashion packages!
I have a little boy but wish I also had a girl looking at these dresses. Love the wrap dresses and bold colours .. bring it on! I wonder what they have for little boys .. ?

Me too Sanna … me too!
I love the first dress. In fact I may just have to buy it for my daughter. The only problem I can see is that it looks a little short and I can picture my 3 year old flashing her Dora underwear to everyone when she wears it 🙂

hahaha! I’m thinking little leggings would look super cute with it.
Oh, and I HAVE a dress identical in style to that first one in my size and it is awesome! Black Friday from Dangerfield 🙂

Nice – I’m a little bit jealous!
STOP IT! I love my boys but their clothes just don’t compete with the *gorgeous* stuff for girls.

I know … sorry Tam! I’m wondering if my 6 year old boy would put on a DVF frock just for me 😉
The t-shirt dress! Damn that’s cute. I’d wear it! I know a sassy 4 year old who might need that for her 5th birthday in July…

Super sassy … she’d be even more the star of her party!
Clothes with character for girls. I agree there has been far too much pink, most of it that innocuous boring pastel schmaltz, out there.
Author
Agreed – I’m not against pink but it’s still possible to be girly in brights and patterns.
The first one would definitely translate to a mummy sized dress. Thanks for sharing N xx

Oh, I’d love it, Kylie. Yes, I would.
Nikki darling one little question – you know the Ruby Renee from Edmiston – I have size E girls and a size 16 body – can I do it? Thought maybe with a wrap, but all that ruching at the front – bit scared without trying on…sorry this shd be on that post…
I love these and the photos are so cute. Rachel x

So, so cute, Rachel … love the patterns and prints!
Oh my gosh! These are adorable! I need the wrap romper for my 1 year old. She will be better dressed than I in her DVF for Gap 🙂 I’m with you Nikki, if only I could pick up a DVF dress for myself at the same price…
Do you think this range will cause online pandemonium the likes seen with the designer for Target ranges?
Author
They are SO adorable – the range will be super popular so let’s wait and see what happens!
Oh so cute. My little diva princess does love a dress but alas she is so incredibly fussy these days that if it doesn’t have a pocket, it just doesn’t cut it. I’m kinda glad at those prices. I mean heck, I bought me a tube dress for the same price and I won’t bet getting play dough and finger paint all down the front of that on its first wear (fingers crossed)!

I love that she insists on pockets … shows what she wants in her style. Feel for you though 😉
