My boobies – the girls – are not the most beautiful in the world. This is not negative self image talk. It’s just fact. No time soon is anyone going to offer me a big fat contract to model them.
They look the way they do partly because they always have; and partly because I’ve had three children, all of whom have had their fair share of nutrition via these suckers.
They’re so not perky. In reality, never have been, now just even less so. They’re not uniform in shape or shape or size either.
(… well that just got rid of any males who may have stumbled across this post hoping to find something saucy. I won’t mention that there is a really nice image of somone else’s breasts further down the post.)
So, why have I over-shared? Because I ask A LOT of my bra. I want that baby that gives me lift and a uniform shape. Not asking much, am I?
I’m a big fan of Intimo bras and I have had great success with the Berlei Fabulous Fit range. Oh, and I do like Elle Macpherson Intimates for sheer prettiness.
But this week there’s a new bra – the Smart Memory Bra by Lisca* – in my second drawer and she’s a keeper.
So what’s so special about this bra?
1. Its cups are made from high-tech foam originally developed by NASA in the 1960s to protect astronauts from the forces of gravity.
2. The smart part is that this foam has a “memory” that softens and expands with body temperature. This apparently boosts your cleavage from a just-a-handful to more-than-ample when the temperature rises (I didn’t notice a bigger cleavage, just a better and more uniformly positioned one).
3. It’s super super-soft to the touch and it moulds to your every move – the perfect t-shirt bra.
4. The moulding means that the bra cups can mould around two quite different shaped and sized breasts and create a symetrical bustline.
5. Because of this “personalised” fit, the bra is incredibly comfortable. You seriously forget that you are wearing it.
The Smart Memory Bra by Lisca ($74.95) is available in black and vibrant red, in sizes 10-18, cup sizes A-D, with removable elastic straps. Visit www.smartmemorybra.com.au to order online
*I was sent the Smart Memory Bra to trial and consider for a review.

How did women ever manage before bras were invented?
Good morning
My name’s Tim, I’m from Brazcom Imports, the distributor of the Smart Memory Bra in Australia.
I’d just like to thank you Nikki, and your readers for this enlightening and informative discussion about the bra.
I’ve noted your helpful suggestions about the need for sizes larger than a D-cup and will certainly pass this information on to Lisca, the manufacturer.
In the meantime, please be aware that the Smart Memory Bra will be available in a new, light skin colour in about two weeks.
Also, for those who don’t want to shop online, a full list of retail stockists is available at http://www.brazcom.com.au/stockist/smart-memory-bra-stockists
Thanks once again for all your helpful feedback.

Hi Tim
Thanks so much for stopping by. I’m very excited about the light skin colour – perfect for under white clothes. And thanks so much for passing on this feedback to Lisca.
Nikki
Sounds absolutely fantastic – but as a 10E I have never found ‘high tech foam’ in my size. I normally have to take what I can get. If they do start making bigger cup sizes I would LOVE to try/buy!

I’ve passed on these comments to the marketing department!
And therein lies the problem…what about us DDs? Where are the gorgeous bras for women like me who’ve had three kids and now have DDs (not overly attractive) to deal with?
And now I’ve just read comments, I see there are a few of us…hello Anj, Sawhole and Mrs Woog! Interesting.

I’m emailing this post to their marketing department now …
yes, yes, yes!! Me too. They are big and floppy. I need support and gorgeousness! Thanks Lisa bringing this need front and centre, you know giving us big breasted women a boost!!

I think there is a campaign for DDs going on here.
I’m going to check this bra out. After two kids I’ve definitely noticed that things are no longer ‘as they were’. Sob.

I hear you loud and clear, Jacki!
Not very happy they don’t go past a d-cup. I thought even a DD was standard these days. Back to the Triumph Minimiser for moi.
Stop showing off Sawhole! Those of us with A cups would love a bit of your D+ – then maybe we would both be happy! xx

I love it … a blog comment fight over boob size. I’ve finally made it as a blogger.
So, Sawhole, I agree with you – there should be a DD.
Brenda, this bra should “pump” up those perky As.
xx
Too bad it doesn’t come in a DD 🙁 I, too, expect a lot of my bras when it comes to making the girls look good. Unfortunately, when you get to a certain size they tend to look more “functional” than “fun & flirty”.

I hear you on the DDs – I have a lot of clients who fall into that cup size.
I have just bought an intimo bra! It’s on its way, hoping it’s a miracle! This one looks good too. Still don’t know how any bra can make a wonder out of nothing, but we’ll wait and see. Bern xx

If your Intimo lady is switched on that bra should be perfect for you. If you’re not happy, send it straight back, they’re good with exchanges etc.x
