Win a $400 birdsnest outfit to celebrate Styling You’s 10th birthday

With Styling You celebrating its 10th birthday this weekend, we didn’t want you to miss out on all the fun and prizes.

Our fashion partner, birdsnest, is giving away a $400 curated outfit and pamper pack to one lucky winner. I’ll help that winner put together their outfit and it will appear on the birdsnest outfits page with that person’s name!

Have you checked out that page – it’s so good, particularly if you’re ever struggling for ideas on how to put an outfit together.

This competition is also all about raising money for Styling You’s charity of choice, Dress for Success Brisbane. Our raffle on the day of the event is raising funds for Dress for Success and through this competition we want to increase our donation to this worthy organisation.

If you’re not familiar with the work of Dress for Success, this is a global organisation that works locally to help disadvantaged women back into the workforce. Often women coming from the program have had to flee their homes and do not have access to clothes suitable for a job interview. Dress for Success fits its clients out from work-ready clothes and accessories available in its boutique.

Styling You has always been about helping women find confidence through what they wear and the work that Dress for Success does is so important in helping women have the confidence to find a new job. I know we can joke about having nothing to wear but what if you REALLY didn’t have anything to wear?

That’s why I’ve made donating to Dress for Success (operated by Suited to Success) part of the condition of entering this competition. It doesn’t have to be a lot – every dollar donated helps the transformation of more than 1500 women and men in south-east Queensland every year. Donations of $2 and more are tax deductible.

More details HERE about how you can get involved on an ongoing basis.

  1. Donation to Dress for Success done! A fabulous local cause. My favourite Birdsnest outfit is Vintage Florals. While I love beautiful dresses, high heels and gorgeous accessories (particularly jewellery), I spend my working life in fairly uninspiring smart casual clothes and my weekends either in active wear or casual outfits for running around after the kids and other domestic goddess activities. Vintage Florals is dressed up enough to be the perfect outfit for a night out and the individual pieces would mix and match with lots of other things in my wardrobe. What more could you ask for!

  2. Donation to such a worthy charity competed. Birdsnest has been one of my favourite pages for styling tips and shopping for a few years now. At the moment, I’m loving the ‘Wrap Around the Clock’ outfit. I love wearing wrap dresses for work as they are versatile for most events and can be easily dressed up or down with boots as shown or a nice set of heels. I love the pattern of the dress which can be worn with or without the jacket easily. Pearl earrings are my favourite and always look so elegant.

  3. Donation done and such a great cause! I love the Strong and Resilient outfit because with everything happening at the moment I feel it is what I need to be . I love the colours in the dress and the accessories. I’m not sure if it would suit me as I’m not confident making choices online.

  4. What a great charity to choose Nikki! I have made my donation and am happy to help. My out fit of choice is the ‘Blue Haze’. It suits my casual lifestyle to a T. It’s so versatile as you can dress it up with some heels and jewellery or down with a pair of kicks or flats. Also it would be great to pack for weekends away as you could mix it up with other pieces.
    Enjoy your Birthday celebrations! xx

  5. So many great outfits to choose from but one of my favourites is Italian Adventure. Who doesn’t want to imagine they are in beautiful Italy for a day or two.

  6. So much to love! I looked keeping in mind my recent weightloss and the fact that I LOVE colour and funky denim but THEN came across ‘Travel Bird’! If I was wearing that, it would mean that I was probably off travelling somewhere… and that in itself is an exciting thought as it has been years since I have been able to get away anywhere.

  7. I love bring on spring- I just felt happy when I saw those bright oranges and yellows! So pretty. I am looking forward to getting out of winter black and blues.

  8. Loving “I can see a rainbow” outfit. It is one that seems to work in dress up/dress down situations. The style would also work with different body shapes too. The navy colour base is stylish yet the pops of colour make it one fun frock!

  9. Transeasonal layering – stylish, comfortable, young and fun. As a working woman in an office, living in ‘four seasons’ Melbourne, AND nearing menopause – comfortable (glamorous) layering is essential to me!

  10. Magnifique – Maiocchi is such a great quality Australian brand and I love the Frenchy colours and whimsy of this outfit. It looks comfy and easy to wear and looks great!

  11. Donation done! Such a great cause! I hope it helps to getting someone back on their feet! I feel blue!!! Is my favourite but I would feel anything but blue if I won!!!

  12. A stroll in Italy is my style
The colours in the top make me smile
It’s super versatile in every way
It can be dressed up for night and day
Whether I wear it in Brisbane or Rome
My wardrobe will call this outfit home

  13. Too many to love! But I do love the Everyday warrior, Classy yet colourful smart for work or out to dinner. Love the red jacket would definitely boost the confidence.

  14. Happy 10th birthday!! I love them all however the “blazer happy” is my preferred style. It never dates and can be dressed up or down.

  15. I love the ‘Blue haze’ outfit on the Birdsnest website. Perfect transitional pieces for winter and spring that can be dressed up or down. I regularly visit this site and have purchased a few items from Birdsnest. Love their outfit ideas! ❤️

  16. Happy Birthday !
I love the Crossing the Stripes outfit. Im slowly building my capsule wardrobe and these pieces can be added to mix in with other pieces I’ve slowly purchased. My goal is not to lay in bed and stress about what I’m going to wear for the day. Just pick, get dressed and get out the door knowing I’m doing ok in the style department !

  17. I’m loving a “Stroll in Italy” firstly for the gorgeous colours in that top and OTS (tick) also I’m hoping Italy will be my next holiday destination. Congratulations on your incredible 10 years and here’s to the next ten years

  18. The perfect dress. As a mum on the go, this looked like a fab easy outfit to throw on and wear and look instantly put together.

  19. Donation sorted. My favourite outfit is Market Look, so casual and feels like spring is just around the corner. Something to fill a gap in my wardrobe!

  20. Oops, forgot the all important Why! I just love the intricate kimono which would be a wonderful addition to the existing pieces in my wardrobe as would the natural tone accessories.

  21. Donation made, great cause! My outfit of choice would be Bodacious Boheme. Such a fabulous look! Congratulations and good luck with your wonderful 10th celebration!

  22. My favorite outfit from the Birdsnest page is Fun filled day.
This inspired me to have more fun with my casual outfits and not play it so safe.
I wear a uniform for work and sometimes forget how to have fun with my weekend outfits.
