Too soon to start planning your festive season outfits? I say, absolutely not! This emerald dress from the Maiocchi spring-summer collection is perfect.
I’m a big traditionalist when it comes to choosing festive outfits, opting for classic colours of green, red, white and, of course anything that sparkles gold or silver.
What say you?
Even if you don’t stick to a “festive” colour scheme, if there ever was a year to celebrate getting through it by purchasing something fun to wear, this is it.
Maiocchi is an independent Brisbane-based label. Designer Dee Mayocchi understand feminine shapes and she delivers every time.
This fit and flare dress is supremely feminine and cool and comfortable to wear. It’s a fully lined cotton voile fabric – except for the sleeves, which offer arm coverage but without the extra layer.
There isn’t stretch in this design, with the zip running up the back. I’d say the bust is generous (I’m a 16D) and the flare style of the skirt nicely accommodates the hips. The waist is higher, dropping flatteringly (for my short waist) into the skirt.
This is the kind of dress I’d pop on for a lunch gathering with the girls. I’ve worn with heels but it would also bring resort vibes worked back with wedges.
The colour is so, so beautiful. Green is not something I naturally reach for but every time I find a green that just works, I wonder why not!
