This week in Brisbane it’s like someone has very much flicked the summer switch and I’ve found myself thinking of summer beach getaways or at least poolside soirees at home (in between sweating up a storm!). And I’ve got the perfect dress to wear for either. It’s from the Solito spring-summer 2020 collection and I think you’re going to love it.

Summer dressing is so easy when you find dress shapes that work for you in styles that can be dressed up and down. This Racquet Club style is one of the label’s signature style and a best-seller. I’ve got it in black and always feel a million bucks wearing it.
The sleeves are cut to be super flattering on the shoulder and the neckline can be worn open or tied. Either way it contrasts beautifully with the skirt of the dress that falls in an a-line, tiered drop-waist which sits just on the knees on me (I’m 166cm).
The loose fit through the body is ideal for staying cool, as is the linen-cotton blend fabric. The fabric is not see-through, offering a good weight that is the goldilocks of white fabric for summer. Not too heavy that you’ll feel hot; not too light that it is transparent.
I LOVE a palm print at the best of time but LOVE how this one brings in muted rust tones that just happen to match my newly made-over bedroom!
I’ve worn it back with wedges for a “lunch out with the girls” look but I also wear this style with heels, flat sandals or slides and sneakers as a more casual option.
If you love this print, also check out the shirt dress, top, and shorts.
This garment was gifted to me for editorial consideration.
