Yes, I’m still wearing makeup even though I’m staying at home 😱. Yes, I’m still buying and using Trinny London products. I know, I know wearing makeup right now is not for everyone but as I talked about in this post, it’s part of my work-from-home daily motivation routine.
It’s not like it’s a makeup look I’d do for heading out somewhere special (cue all the memories from when we could do that). It’s a pared-back version and a variation on a couple of everyday makeup looks I shared with you over summer.

This new-ish everyday, staying at home makeup, uses products in those two looks as well as a couple of extras – one I bought at the start of #IsoLife, the other rediscovered after I did a very overdue audit and organisation of my makeup collection.
If your collection could do with a good sort, can I suggest that that be this weekend’s job? What I found (unsurprisingly) was that I had a pattern of buying pretty much the same thing, seduced by something new and shiny when I already had pretty much the same product hardly used in my kit. Conversely, I found things I’d been holding on to that were long past a date they could safely be applied to my face.
The audit has helped me mindfully shop to restock only. The audit did, however come after already purchasing Charlotte Tilbury Eyes to Mesmerise cream eyeshadow in rose gold after seeing it appear one too many times in my Facebook feed. What can I say? Bowerbirds are my spirit animals … I’m attracted to all things shiny. In my defence, I have used it pretty much every day since receiving and have #noregrets. Not in my defence? The colour and product is very, very similar to Maybelline Color Tattoo in Socialite. WHICH I ALREADY OWNED 🤦♀️
Watch the video for how I quickly do this stay-at-home makeup look for work days. In real time (without the chatter) it would take me about five minutes. That’s five minutes that helps me be in the right frame of mind for whatever the day throws at me.
