The Model and Me: Harlow Australia spring-summer 2019

I’ve officially declared the start of the “throw and go” season. You know what I’m talking about, don’t you? When it’s so hot and you’re so tired with end-of-year everything, you just want easy, cool dresses to throw on and go.

Not only do you not have to think and outfit plan – it’s one garment – but you also feel cool when the heat is on because the ideal throw and go frock is light, lovely and flowy.

This Model and Me featured frock – from the Harlow Australia spring-summer 2019 Spirit of India collection ticks those boxes.

A maxi dress gets an extra “throw and go” tick from me as you immediately look a little bit more dressed up; a little more elegant, even if you wear it with flats.

I love the ease of this dress but also it’s beautiful detailing. It’s part of a small capsule collection which Harlow has just released. The collection is made in a family-run, ethically accredited factory in India.

It’s 100% rayon, so light and lovely, has side splits and pockets. I’ve dressed it up with wedges but this is also a dress that would work as a pool or beach cover-up. Granted, a very fancy cover-up!

I’m in the S/M and it’s very generous in size on my size 14-16 body.

We’re popping the prosecco again next Wednesday, December 18

We’ve popped up again in Brisbane in a fabulous studio spot in Paddington, behind the Thousand Island boutique at 129 Latrobe Terrace, Paddington. We’re open Tuesday-Saturday until December 18. 

On our final day, December 18, 4-7pm, we’re opening at 12noon and staying open until 7pm. We’ll be popping the proscecco and serving up a Say Cheese platter on the deck of our store. Come on in and say hi! It will be your last chance to shop before the New Year.

This Saturday, December 14, we’ll also have a special guest popping up in store with us to help with your gift buying inspiration. Rachael, from Sip Bubbles (your Christmas and holiday essentials) will be in store. And one lucky customer on the day will win a Sip Bubbles prize pack valued at $100.
