The Nina Proudman x Styling You legacy lives on. Long after we said goodbye to Neens and her wardrobe, the labels that the show introduced to us continue to serve up the goods.
Lola Australia has been a favourite of mine since the Offspring days. Who could forget the gorgeous silk maxi which featured in the 2014 finale? I’ve stayed on the silk maxi dress theme for this post, with a gorgeous frock from the Lola Australia spring-summer 2019 collection. I think you’re going to love it.
A little word on the colour. The colour is closer in navy to what you see in the model image. I was getting all kinds of blue/green reflection from our pool in the photo of me so it doesn’t do it justice. The print placement is also slightly different on my dress but this can sometimes happen between a sample garment being photographed and a final garment being manufactured.
I love how the shape of this dress is flowy and roomy but it has shape because of the tiered layers and print placement. It packs a mighty punch in the swish-able stakes and feels light and lovely on. I’m wearing the luxe silk version but this shape and print is also available in cotton.
I’ve worn the dress with wedges but it would be equally at home with sandals or slides. This is another look that’s vying for a spot in my festive wardrobe this year and will definitely be packed for our summer holiday.
This garment was gifted to me for editorial consideration.
