The Model and Me: Jericho Road spring-summer 2019

It’s no secret around these parts that I’m a huge fan of the Brisbane sisters Chloe and Kate – the girls behind the Jericho Road label. I tell you, it’s impossible not to smile when wearing one of their designs.

The label is known for its vibrant, original prints and fun shapes, collaborating with many artists throughout each season. This keeps each release fun and fresh and each becomes a collector’s item.

I first saw this Boracay print by @brookgossen – a super talented woman who also has her own range of bed linen – at the Jericho Road spring-summer 2019 launch back in September. And I knew it was going to be a keeper. I mean, hello pink palm trees!

I’m a huge fan of combining two pieces to create the look of a dress or a jumpsuit and that’s what these two pieces achieve. I was a little worried that the top would be too short on me. I’m no crop top girl but it’s just right, sitting to create the shape at the waist. I can also wear these pieces separately for completely different looks. 

The fabric is 100% viscose – so cool and comfortable on the skin. The shape of the top and skirt add in a cool factor as well, cool as in cool in temperature to wear AND cool in design. I love the v-neck and wooden buttons. The skirt has a full elastic waist so you can decide whether to wear on the hips or waist. It’s a super roomy style but drapes beautifully so not a problem if you’re “hippy” like me. And it has pockets!

My friend @ilovethatskirt also rocked this outfit on the weekend. It’s been a while between Model and Me and Her posts … but here goes! Bec is 20 weeks pregnant and wearing size 10 in both the top and skirt.
