The Model and Me: Maiocchi spring-summer 2019

I’ve long been a supporter of Brisbane fashion label Maiocchi and the Maiocchi spring-summer 2019 collection has me falling in love all over again. 

Designer Deanne Mayocchi is renown for her exclusive prints and classic shapes, so yes, you’ll find lots of those this season, but what you’ll also find are more block colour offerings, including this stunning dress shape I’m featuring in this post.

It’s something new for the brand and I LOVE it.

You see what I mean? GORGEOUS. The shape is still very Maiocchi – fitted to show shape – which is something of a miracle for me as I don’t have a defined waist. 

I do love a ruffle and tiered skirt for detailing and supreme flattery. When a skirt drops like this from below the hips, it’s so, so much better for me. It’s still swish-able but without extra fabric around the hips. This dress is cotton and cotton lined so supremely comfortable for summer occasions. 

It’s not stretch, so I’ve sized up to 16 to accommodate my broad back and size 16D bust. If you’re not large in the bust your regular size may be perfect. 

This dress is also available in white and black. And, if you prefer a separate, the skirt in this style is available in the same cornflower blue, black and white.
