The Model and Me: Bohemian Traders spring-summer 2019

The Bohemian Traders spring-summer 2019 Lago collection has just landed and it’s enough to want to make you pack your bags immediately and head to Lake Como, Italy, where the collection was photographed.

Pass me an Aperol Spritz and a caprese salad. Oh, and point me in the direction of George Clooney’s villa. STAT.

Bohemian Traders has especially captured the romance of an Italian lakeside summer with its bespoke blue marigold print, which I’ve showcased below in just one of the designs it features on. This print is also available in a wrap dress, top and wrap skirt.

There is nothing like a twirling frock to make you feel all spring-like, is there? The twirl factor is indeed high with this relaxed fit dress. This is a style that I love wearing. I’m not one for creating a cinched waist (because I don’t have one) and I’m also not one for feeling uncomfortable when seated. 

What this style does is give subtle shape through its relaxed waist detail and tiered skirt. The v-neck is flattering and the sleeves provide that arm coverage that I know many of you like. 

The fabric is 100% rayon and it’s a great weight – not too heavy, not too light. I love this print. It’s something different for me (yes, you don’t often see me wearing florals) but I like that the white base of this dress prevents the florals from overwhelming me. And as for blue and green? It should definitely be seen, in this print and in anything. 

Dress this look up with heels as I’ve done or switch it out for sneakers or slides for a casual look. And if you can’t get to Lake Como, any old pool will do for a twirl or two.
