There are many reasons to herald the potential arrival of cooler weather. For me, it’s the heralding in of the “jeans and a nice top” season.
Do I hear a collective, “hell, yes!”?
Think about it … if you’ve nailed your perfect pair of jeans, then treating yourself to a new top can be all the wardrobe refresh you need.
If that top can double up as a top that is suitable for work or a dressier ensemble, all the better.
That’s exactly the versatile category that this top from the Sacha Drake autumn-winter 2019 collection falls into.
I love the feminine styling of this top with the loose fit and bloused bishop sleeve contrasts beautifully with jeans but also works so well with a pair of tailored pants or a pencil skirt. You can wear the ties open as I have or tied up for a more corporate look.
The black cherry/burgundy colour of this top is EVERYTHING. It’s rich and autumnal but complementary to so many skin tones. The fabric itself is a luxe-feeling polyester/elastane combination, so it’s comfortable to wear – a priority for me.

Styling You The Label: Outfit of the Week
When you want a fresh take on neutrals, look no further than sage. If khaki and grey had a fabric baby, it would be this. Best of all, it works on all skin tones.
Want to make it pop with freshness? Add an ivory or white jacket, a statement clutch and a necklace.
It’s an outfit that will take you everywhere – from the office to lunch with the girls.
