The Model and Me: Read and Bell spring-summer 2018

Are you a festive dresser? Me too. In the week leading up to Christmas (and the day itself), I cannot get enough of Christmas-y red, white, green and sparkles in my outfits. 

So, it seemed fitting for the final Model and Me post for 2018 that I feature a frock that would make a perfect summer’s Christmas Day outfit. It’s from gorgeous Australian label, Read and Bell, a Styling You fave which has been featured here for many a season.

This 100% hand-printed cotton maxi is so incredibly comfortable to wear – for all shapes and sizes. The sizing is very generous and the drawstring tie at the neckline makes it super adaptable for having the dress sit exactly where you’d like it to sit. Me? I like to tie it up higher so as to avoid any flashing of side boob.

The tie is separate but gives you the option of creating shape to suit your waist. I love the tiered, layered hem for an on-trend addition to a frock that allows you to release your inner boho queen while carving up the ham and/or peeling five gazillion kilos of prawns.

Dress this dress up with heels, as I’ve done, or down with slides or flat sandals. If weather is on the cool side, add a denim jacket.
