If you thought it was safe to return here for another spring edit and find that I’d finally put my shoulders away, click away now.
They are out. And proud.
May the off the shoulder trend never die. I stand by all that I wrote in this post two years ago – my case for the OTS anything remains as strong as it did then. (And while you’re checking out that post, take a look at just how little our puppy, Clementine, was two years ago … so cute … this weekend past marked two years since she arrived with us)
When I clocked this OTS frock below in the Solito spring-summer 2018 collection, I knew we’d have a long and lovely summer together.
The Model
and me
Solito dress (I’m in L and am 166cm tall) | Ruby Olive earrings | FRANKiE4 Footwear LiSA heels
Is this summer in a dress? I say YES. I’ll never tire of a palm/landscape print. I love that this print includes black for depth and a little bit of a dress-up detail.
The shape of this dress is super relaxed. If your shoulders are not disproportionately wide for your size, then consider sizing down. I’ve stayed in my regular size as my shoulders are quite wide and I need the extra width up top but there is a lot of room in the body of the dress.
The bell sleeve and gathered hem are details that take this dress next level. You can dress this look up with heels (more on this season’s FRANKiE4 Footwear heels’ collection on the blog this week), as I’ve done, but it works equally as well with flats, slides or sneakers.
If I can’t talk you into an OTS dress this season, check out this cotton/linen blend print in other frock styles, a jumpsuit and shorts HERE.
SPECIAL OFFER: Thanks to the lovely women behind the label Solito, save 15% when buying online. Add the code STYLINGYOU15 at checkout.
So, tell me, are you still with me on all things OTS? Love a landscape print?

#shopitforward for drought-affected areas
Thank you to each and every one of you who has shared this post that now contains more than 60 online businesses located in drought-affected areas of Australia. An even bigger thank-you if you’ve shopped at any of the businesses.
I’d love you to keep this list of businesses front of mind should you be doing any gift shopping over the months leading up to Christmas. The dollars go direct into affected communities, creating a ripple effect that will have lasting benefits for so many.
I won’t stop talking about and sharing these amazing businesses. We really are helping to make a difference.
