The Model and Me: Bird Keepers spring-summer 2018

T-shirt dresses are spring-summer wardrobe essentials in my style books. They offer that easy, casual, throw-on-one-piece option so you can run out the door – or around the world – in comfort.

Birdsnest label bird keepers offers a fantastic range of wardrobe essentials and this t-shirt dress from the bird keepers spring-summer 2018 collection ticks all the boxes.

I love the royal blue stripe as an alternative to my first strpe love, navy. It’s fresh, fun and perfect for spring.

This is a mid-weight jersey cotton in a length that will sit below the knee on most. I’m 166cm; the model is 178cm.

The scoop hem makes for a flattering line and the pockets add to the relaxed look. I did opt to size up one size to accommodate my hips. The 14 fit me everywhere else but my hip width (my hips are wider than my bust) meant that the pockets didn’t sit as flat as I’d like.

This is a wardrobe piece I’d pop on with sneakers (as I’ve done here with the fabulous new, sleek FRANKiE4 POLLY sneakers) or slides for everyday casual. Add a tote and you’re good to go. I do love a neoprene tote for carrying my “life” around with me and this fabulous new brand, NeoLUXE, offers a great, affordable range. Neoprene is durable and water resistant. (And, NeoLUXE has a special offer for Styling You readers – use the code SY30 for a 30% discount.)

To dress up, I’d add a white blazer; swap the tote for a cross-body bag; the sneakers for tan wedges.
