I first came across the Carolina label at Sydney airport. I was rushing past the kiosk shop on my way to my departure gate, which I’d just realised was the furthest possible gate.
Such is my airport shopping super power, even in my haste; I quickly clocked the amazing accessories, the leopard print, and the definitely-not-boring basics. I vowed then and there to make time on my next trip to stop, browse and buy.
I’ve now got to learn a little bit more about this label – and I love it even more. It started when its creative director Carolina Giraldo “saw a gap in the market for lifestyle clothing and accessories that were versatile in function, good quality, well priced and unique against excessive mainstream productions”.
The first collection included six bags and and a few belts, with the first clothing collection launched in 2013.
Across the next week on my Facebook and Instagram pages (from June 19 until June 26), I’ll be sharing more of my current faves from the Carolina autumn-winter 2018 collection but below, I’m featuring two pieces that have me all dotty about the label.

While stripes and leopard will always have the biggest slice of my printed-clothing heart, I have a very soft spot (see what I did there?) for all things polkadot.
When said dotty situation happens in a black and white shirt/blouse, it just screams wardrobe essential, yes? This combination of classic colour way and fun print makes a statement that works for the office as well as for casual.
I love the feel and fall of this fabric – it’s also easy-care and needs minimal ironing? The fit is more on the small side. I’ve sized up and it skims but is definitely not over-sized.
The pants here are super flattering. There is considerable stretch – I’m in my normal size. Once on they do all sorts of amazing things to your legs. And I love the coated finish for a dressier look.

Hi Nikki! I’m a recent convert to #teamdots and they’re growing on me fast. The shirt is gorgeous! I fell hard for Carolina’s cowhide belts and bags and several slipped into my shopping cart recently 🙂
I don’t have any pieces yet but having learnt about them in your post I have checked them out and am crushing hard on the white V too (so classy and versatile ) and the New York Mules.

I love the look of the dots. The shirt seems to skim beautifully. I love shirts but find them often quite gapey across the chest. This one looks better.

I purchased the coated black jeans , I’m normally a 14 but I found them to be extremely small and found I needed the 16 , I also got the grey v neck throw which I absolutely love
