The Model and Me: wYse Lifestyle spring-summer 2017

I’ve been blogging here for more than nine years now – and years before that, writing about fashion as a journalist.

One of the greatest privileges of that time has been getting to know and love Australian independent labels, which have grown and flourished because of their market difference.

One of those labels is wYse Lifestyle

wYse is an ethically accredited, Australian-made lifestyle label designed by Liz Parsons. The modal fabric used in all wYse designs is biodegradable and environmentally sustainable.

There are not many labels which can lay claim to that in this fast-fashion world – and produce garments that are super comfortable to wear. Yes, this is not to everyone’s budget but for those looking for quality over quantity, wYse is worth a look.

The below dress is from the wYse Lifestyle spring-summer 2017 collection available in store and at selected boutiques around Australia.

The feel of this fabric on your skin is beyond amazing. I first fell in love with wYse way back when, thanks to the feel of its black leggings.

This particular style is one I wore last summer in black. It’s a slight a-line shift, so makes for a an easy-to-wear and flattering summer frock.

It’s fitting but in a skimming kind of way. I’m wearing regular, seam-free underwear – no shapewear – in these photos. Patterns are also a great distraction in all that skimming action.

The length is perfect for my 166cm, falling to the top of the knee. This is the kind of dress that you can easily throw on but it can be dressed up or dressed down according to what your day is dishing up.

I’m worn with my fave mid-heel here but it would work equally as well with a wedge, a flat, a slider or a sneaker. What to dress it up even more? Add a summer-weight blazer.

So tell me, do you own a wYse piece in your wardrobe? Love an easy summer frock?

  1. I love, love, love this print and the dress but I have my eye on the Margo in the same print. What is the sizing like? I can’t see a sizing guide on their website.

  2. I have bought a few of their pieces already this summer, LBD with mesh, long black dress, black jumpsuit and a blue top… Loving them all!!

  3. I love Wyse. I have a couple of their winter shift dresses, a long cardi and black pants. I just might need this summer option.
