Do you have events or occasions coming up in the next few months? If so, you’re not alone and I’m here to help.

My thoughts are that it’s never too early to plan out possible outfits for those events, plus I like to have a frock or two up my sleeve for those impromptu gatherings.

I’ll have a full and thorough blog post soon about my thoughts on how to plan out an event/occasion wardrobe for spring-summer but here I’m sharing a candidate for your spring-summer occasion wardrobe.

This frock is from Australian-designed and Australian-made brand, Saints The Label (sister label to Mesop).

Let’s talk size and shape for starters. I’m in size S so, yes, it looks more fitted on me than on the model. I find with Saints The Label that their designs are purposely over-sized. If that’s your thing, then stick to your regular size. If you like to have a more streamlined silhouette, then size down one or two sizes.

This shift style is ideal for my body shape. It skims, gives a hint of a waist and falls to the knee. With the short sleeve, it’s a style that I’d feel comfortable in all day.

The fabric is ideal for warmer days – 45% tencel/30% linen/25% cotton. I love the interest and texture that the frayed pieces add to the garment. And, OF COURSE, pockets are always a good idea.

I’ve worked this dress back with minimal accessories and a nude/pale blush shoe (my fave event shoe from FRANKiE4 this season) but this dress would be equally at home with a strong contrast colour – or black. It’s a great blank canvas for any event.

Wear this dress to a lunch event, style it up for the races or add a blazer for a work-to-dinner-out-outfit … Fraya is certain to serve you well.

So tell me, is this a style that will work for your spring-summer occasion outfit calendar?
