The Model and Me: Surafina autumn-winter 2017

Nikki ParkinsonFashion, The Model and Me 2 Comments

Did you get a break over Easter? Back to regular programming today? Confused as to why Model and Me Monday is on a Tuesday?

Me too.

But let’s just go with another short week, shall we?

I talked on the blog about outfit planning for autumn and winter events and this post offers up another option for you.

It’s from the Surafina autumn-winter 2017 collection (Surafina is sister label to Adrift) and is in a shape and style I just love. I’m ambassador for these brands and love how easily the pieces fit into my lifestyle.

The model

Adrift Zoe dress

Adrift Zoe dress in pink arrow (sizes S-XL) and available also in 2XL-4XL here

and me

Adrift dress | Adorne clutch and earrings | David Jones heels (not current)

Adrift dress* (I’m in L – please note the base colour is more charcoal than is showing in my photo) | Adorne clutch* and earrings* (not currently available online – check in store) | David Jones heels (not current)

This slight a-line shift dress is a style that’s universally flattering. It drapes, flows and moves with your shape. It’s feminine, yet practical, all at once.

The sleeve length is perfect for now and easy to layer with a coat and tights for later. This is a dress that can be dressed up for an occasion but it equally works for the office.

I love how easy it is to simply pop on and, VOILA … instant outfit. That’s the power of a statement dress.

The fabric is 100% viscose. When you wash it (hand washing is recommended), simply stretch it back into shape and hang on the line to dry. Steam or iron when dry.

Do you love a dress that is easy to wear but still makes a fabulous statement?

Registration for the autumn-winter 2017 Ultimate Capsule Wardrobe online style program closes this Thursday, April 20. Don’t miss out on joining this supportive group as we show you how to create a wardrobe that works FOR you.

Say goodbye to the daily “what to wear?” question.

Ultimate Capsule Wardrobe AW17 | Styling YouThe six- week program started last week. The sooner you join, the more you’ll get out of the challenge and the more you’ll get to know others in our exclusive Facebook group.

In a nutshell, the autumn-winter 2017, six-week online style program is based on a 30-piece capsule wardrobe that can be adapted for any lifestyle, budget, shape, size or age. I’ll show you how.

You are helped to “shop” your wardrobe for alternatives to my suggestions and I have links to buy for those wanting to mindfully update their wardrobes with a solid plan.

I’m also hands-on in the dedicated Ultimate Capsule Wardrobe Facebook group supporting this program, taking you through each day’s outfit suggestions and being there to personally answer your specific style questions. It’s like having your own personalist stylist on speed dial.

Here’s what some of this season’s “Capsulers” are saying about the program:

Today while shopping I actually put things back and remembered I have something similar in my wardrobe already. I never do that! Such a good feeling when I got home and found them. Love this. – Liz

I’m loving the community too! I’m such a fashion novice and was very nervous about posting anything but you’ve all been so welcoming. Thank you! – Nicole

The thing that I am amazed about this challenge is that this is the first time I have ever really thought about an item I am buying. I am actually thinking carefully about an item I am buying now to put in this capsule. Previously I would just buy and end up with so much. It is certainly a learning exercise. – Jenny
