The Model and Me: wYse Lifestyle spring 2016

There are a handful of Queensland-based labels that I’ve been wearing and recommending since before I started this blog.

wYse Lifestyle is one of those labels. Whenever I think of my wYse pieces, I immediately think of what it feels like to wear them.

The fabric – a modal made from the pulp of beechwood trees – is so incredibly soft that you forget that you’re actually dressed for the day ahead, not still in your pyjamas.

Come to think of it, not many of my pyjamas are as soft on the skin.

I’m featuring here my favourite frock from the spring-summer 2016 collection.

This is the kind of frock that I could safely pop on any given day and be able to make it work for whatever that day was throwing at me.

I’ve worn it here with my signature heel, a perfect outfit for a lunch out with girlfriends. Add a white blazer and it could take me to a work meeting.

Swap out the heels for sneakers or flat sandals and you have a dress that is also your weekend bestie.

The shape of this frock is something else. This is the only style of waist-fitting that works on my short-torso-ed body as it’s coming in high under the bust and skimming the hips without any excess fabric. The front gathering of the fabric just adds to this whole skimming situation.

I’m 166cm and this length is perfect for me – the hem falls at just to the top of my knee.
