It’s officially the last day of winter. I hope wherever you live today that you get a taste of spring in coming weeks.
In Queensland, we’ve had a mild couple of weeks with a few cooler nights. It’s been a strange winter and I can count on two hands how many times I’ve had the heating on.
I’m not skiting. I’ve missed the cold snaps, the few times a year when we get a brief opportunity to layer on up.
I’m not going to lie, either.
I LOVE early spring. I love that the nights are still mild and doona-worthy. And I love that the days aren’t stiflingly humid.
To round out our winter #everydaystyle style challenges, I’ve got inspiration for you from so many women sharing 890+ posts on the #sywintercolour hashtag. These women have shared how they wear colour in winter – in a season that traditionally is all about black and grey.
Talk about inspirational.
I’m definitely one who loves their neutrals, although I have thrown in a little blue and navy for good measure.

Each month, I’ll propose a different wardrobe theme for you to consider incorporating into your #everydaystyle outfit planning.
Each day that you incorporate that theme, simply upload your photo using the #everydaystyle hashtag. To be in the running for the prize, you just need to add the specific hashtag for each month’s theme.
You can enter as many times as you like. You can upload to Instagram or upload to the SY #everydaystyle community Facebook group – post your outfit in the comments section of my weekly Facebook Live video.
This month’s theme is: SPRING TRENDS (this post might help get you started)
Your outfit photo could be featured here on the blog with a link back to your Instagram page (if applicable). Entries close Thursday, September 29, 2016. The winner will be announced on the blog, Friday, September 30, 2016.

Love your selections, and congrats to Karen! The blog looks AMAZING – that Kelly’s a genius! (But you can also tell you had a clear vision for it. So streamlined.) Melbourne is doing its usual can’t-make-up-its-mind thing this week. Freezing, warm, hot, thunderstorms and lightning, very very frightening…
Thanks so much Em – yes Kel is genius. And now I’m stuck with Bohemian Rhapsody in my ears! x
Oh wow thanks Nikki you made my day! Such a beautiful group of ladies – definitely showing colour can be added to winter. Still love my winter black though, never breaking up with her but colour sure if fun.
