The Model and Me: Surafina

Nikki Parkinson Fashion, The Model and Me 8 Comments

Boy oh boy did the heavens open up here yesterday afternoon. Did you manage to stay dry if they opened for you too?

Luckily we didn’t have to be anywhere and it was like being given permission to hunker down and fire up the Netflix offerings.

I love a slouchy Sunday – or any slochy day ending in y – and this model and me post very much honours that relaxed side to my wardrobe personality.

The pieces are from Australian and Brisbane-based label, Surafina. This label nails effortless style every time.

The model

Surafina Escape jumper, drawstring pant and fringed scarf

Surafina Escape jumper $89, drawstring pant $89; and fringed scarf $59

and me

Surafina knit, pants and scarf | FRANKiE4 Footwear sneaker

Surafina knit* (I’m wearing M/L), pants* (I’m wearing size 16) and scarf ($49 … and back in stock!) | FRANKiE4 Footwear ELLiE sneakers

I’m going to start with the scarf in this outfit because I’ve swapped out the fringed one in the model image for the leopard-print scarf that sold out in about two minutes in the autumn-winter Styling You Shop.

And guess what? I’m not teasing you. It’s back in stock. So if you missed out on this one, don’t miss out again.

And now to the outfit itself. Any outfit I can put together that feels comfortable to wear all day or night gets a big tick in my book.

The knit is a cotton/acrylic knit with three-quarter sleeves so light to wear for those in milder winters. Colder where you live? Add in a long-sleeve layering tee underneath and a coat on top.

I love its relaxed high-low hemline and small turtle collar neckline for a nod to ’60s styling.

Grey works a treat with camel or leopard as it offers a great contrast of cool and warm colour tones.

The rayon/cotton pants are in a soft, draping elasticated waist and ankle design. They are lightweight and ideal as travel pants if travelling into summer temperatures.

Are you a fan of a slouchy style day? If it was bucketing down where you live, hope you’re high and dry soon.

  1. You always look fantastic and even better than the models. 😀
Can I be so rude as to ask your measurements. I think I would be the same size as you but you look so great in everything and I am reluctant to purchase online, especially with some of the prices but can’t resist as you style it so wonderfully (hate doing the refund/return thing). Thanks in advance. Enjoy your holiday. Cheers Anna

  4. I love Surafina, they make the most comfortable, easy to wear clothes ever! For the weather, was dark here before 5 and then heavy rain and the wind picked up. Thankfully not as bad as predicted. Agree, perfect for slouching 🙂
