Thanks again for all the lovely birthday wishes.
I had a fabulous festival and the best thing is that it is set to continue as my girlfriends all chipped in and bought be a voucher to spend at a day spa.
HELLO. Best friends ever.
Today, I’ve got a very important task for you.
It’s been more than two years since I updated my personal stylist directory – the last time I put the call out was when my book was about to go to print and I wanted to include a list of personal stylists in it.
For those who don’t know my back story, I left my journalism career to start a personal styling business. I’d styled and coordinated shoots as part of my job as a fashion and magazine editor but I thought it would be more fun to work with everyday women instead of models.
I was right. It was SO much fun.
In almost four years of personal styling, I saw 150 different women – women who let me into their wardrobes and let me help them get a start on working out who they were and how they could best present themselves to the world.
It was incredibly rewarding but there came a time when this blog of mine took over as the main breadwinner in my business and I decided to focus on helping thousands of women every day instead of one or two each week.
Most weeks it’s not unusual for me to receive at least one email asking for a personal stylist recommendation.
I want to be able to make the very best recommendations so I’m putting this out to the Styling You community to form the 2016 personal stylist directory that I’ll curate here on Styling You so I can share it when I’m asked.
That’s where you come in.
If you are a personal stylist or have worked with a personal stylist who you’d recommend, please leave a message in the comments below OR email me: [email protected] with the following details:
Personal stylist’s name:
Location (ie city/town/region):
The directory will include the above details so please ensure they are up to date. There is no charge for inclusion in this directory.
Thanks so much for your help. Submissions close Tuesday, June 14, 2016.
PS. Is there anyone reading this blog post who did let me in their wardrobe – or who did let me be bossy in the change room? I’d love to hear your story since.
