I’m no stranger to the tunic and leggings look as a jeans/knit alternative for autumn-winter.
I recently featured a kimono-style tunic from Rasaleela, and today I’m featuring a shirt-style from Firefly.
I personally love both shapes – variety being the spice of life and all.
Firefly is an Australian label which is ethically produced by a family-run manufacturer in India. You can read more here.
The model
Firefly Karo Tile tunic $99.95
and me
Firefly Karo tunic* (I’m 166cm and wearing XL) | Firefly Isla vest* (I’m wearing XL) | O2Wear leggings (I’m wearing L) | FRANKiE4 Footwear LiZ boots
Of course I had to go and throw a knit vest on over the top of the tunic, didn’t I? You might remember a certain short Firefly vest that I wore on high rotation last year. That was Firefly.
I’ll be trotting it out again when it cools down but I’ll be mixing it up with this longline version too. It’s 100% cotton and incredibly soft. It does offer some warmth and I love that it allows you to play with lengths in an outfit.
The vest would be equally at home with jeans and a shirt or long-sleeve top. Did I mention it also comes in black? 🙂
But back to the tunic … as you can see, the length of the tunic on me is considerably longer than that of the model. This is something to always factor in if you are shorter than model height.
The tunic is generous and I could have easily worn the L. I do love the print and I love that it’s in a weight that’s wearable in a mild winter and layer-able if you live somewhere colder.
These leggings are The Business. They’re for sale in the Styling You Shop until Wednesday, so do yourself a favour and grab a twin pack.
So tell me, are you a fan of a tunic/leggings look? And do you collect winter layering pieces like I do?
* These pieces were gifted to me for editorial consideration. Full disclosure policy here.

I just love a lot M x HAH! Glad I have a male on board as well!!
I do like this tunic and I find on cold wet days this type of outfit works perfectly with boots for the commute to and from work. The lack of material flapping around means there seems to be less to get wet.
The difference in length between you and the model makes such a difference to this look (not better or worse- just different), and given you’re not short that’s really something I’d keep in mind.
That’s a very good point about those cold/wet days. The length is everything, that’s true Johanne.
Yes I do love this look, I wore a tunic and leggings yesterday in fact!
I love this outfit on you Nikki the tunic is gorgeous and I love how you’ve added the vest, I bought a new faux fur vest to replace the one I gave away to my sis.
Happy model and Me Monday to you Nikki great post Xx
Oh yay for new vest buying Lisa … and for tunics and leggings!
