It’s not unusual for me to be seen on #everydaystyle wearing a long-sleeve top or shirt in summer.
If I’m out and about, that top is a part of my sun-protection arsenal. Sunscreen is always on but extra insurance for shoulders and arms is always helpful for this fair-skinned person.
I don’t work up a sweat with this kind of coverage as long as the top is loose and the fabric breathable … cotton, rayon, viscose, silk and technical fabric.

Ok, so let’s address the elephant in the room … how often have you actually seen me wear pale pink? Um, very rarely.
But something made me choose this colour to feature. It’s a shade of soft pink that actually works with my skin tone as opposed to washing me out.
It’s also a fresh colour we’re seeing quite a bit of in store during this trans-seasonal time (Miss SY has this blush pink skirt from new-season Country Road).
If you can’t go the pink, then denim blue, grey or white may be more your thing.
The shirt is rayon and hand made, including sequins on the shoulder (sequins are always a good idea!) and a star motif … well you are the star of your own wardrobe, aren’t you?
The sleeves can be worn long or cuffed up and buttoned as I’ve done here.
The slight scoop up at the front is flattering and the length just right on me.
It’s a style of shirt that is a no brainer to pull out and wear with jeans or shorts.

i like a longer sleeve in Autumn and Spring. I’d wear something like this then. It all depends on what is around my neck if I can wear pale pink.
I can’t do all pale pinks Bec but this one has musk undertones and works!
