I’m a planner. I like to be organised. It doesn’t always come together but generally that planning and organisation helps to keep me on some kind of track.
2015?
It just kind of happened. I’d set out with good intentions in January to make big goals for the year but then the year started and it just took off at such a crazy pace that I didn’t get that chance.
Turns out this was a good strategy.
The year that was has been a GOOD one.
It’s been an incredible year for me professionally – winning the Queensland micro-business of the year at the Telstra Business Awards was beyond exciting.
Being included in a catalogue for iconic Australian fashion store Katies? Not bad for this *ahhemm* mature chick.
Being an ambassador for fabulous home-grown brands? I just love being able to introduce you to brands such as FRANKiE4 and PeriCoach.
Celebrating two years of sharing my daily #everydaystyle outfit on Instagram with a bunch of amazingly stylish women who do the same? One of the best afternoons of the year.
Launching the Styling You Shop concept? It’s been great to bring you a seasonal edit three times this year. Stay tuned for next year’s shop edits where we show you 28 ways to wear a seasonal capsule wardrobe that you can buy there and then.
Personally, I’ve been able to enjoy some amazing experiences with my family. Hello photoshoot in Paris with the awesome Carla Coulson …
and Aperol Spritz sessions in Italy.
I want to thank YOU though. Without you showing up and reading my blog every day or every week, there would be none of the above.
You’re the reason I log on each day. The Styling You community is all kinds of awesome. You’re kind, supportive and non-judgemental of myself – and each other.
Women supporting other women.
For 2016, I wish for more of the same and I hope you’ll join me on the blog to promote that.

Autumn winter 2015 fashion trends – what to buy now
I’ll be taking a little break across the festive season and the first week in January when I’ll be hitting the beach for a week with friends and family.
There will be some posts on the blog next week, including a post to get your head in the right space for the New Year. I’m leaving the laptop at home when I’m at the beach {I KNOW – who am I?}.
Don’t fear, I’ll still be popping in on Instagram and Facebook.
Have a wonderful festive season. DO hug your loved ones tight and reach out to someone who might be finding this time of year difficult.
Tell me, what’s on the menu Christmas Day? Are you heading away on holidays?
