The countdown to summer is officially on and in many parts of Australia it already feels very much like it’s here.
Days are longer. Temperatures are (mostly) higher. The calendar is filling with parties and “catch-ups” that just *have* to happen before Christmas.
For the lucky ones among us, we’re also planning a summer holiday escape – a weekend, a week or longer time away.
Aussie tradition will see many of those getaways taking place at the beach.
All of the above events present wardrobe/outfit jigsaw puzzles to be solved and the Summer 2015 Styling You Shop aims to help you get clear on how to do that.
Like previous Styling You Shops, what we’ve done is carefully and considerately choose pieces to form a capsule wardrobe of building block and show-pony pieces that will serve you through Christmas parties, to holidays and beyond.
I’ve worked with some of my favourite independent fashion designers and online stores to bring you a selection of clothes that can work for a multitude of occasions.
I’m all about the versatile garment that can be dressed up or dressed down and in this summer edit you’ll find 21 garments and accessories to do just that.
The store is only open for one month – and stock is limited so if you see something you like, snap it up quick smart.
Garments range in size from size 6-16 or 18. One garment – a kimono – is free-size. We’ve also included a bag, two necklaces, a bangle set and two pairs of shoes for this edit. You’ll also find a swimsuit to suit so many shapes and sizes. The price range is from $35-$229.
The intention is to offer quality pieces that represent value for money – and pieces that will be in your wardrobe for many seasons to come.
Let’s take a look at what’s in store, shall we?

Love the idea. But would love something more suited for the taller gals….I am 175 cm and need length……
Both the black dress and the striped dresses are long Jenny. The skirt also comes below the knee on me.
Congrats Nikki – I’m glad the SY shop is going so well. The items look fab.
Thanks so much Emily x
Congrats on another great collection Nikki – well done!

I have wanted to buy the drop crutch pants for so long. What size are you wearing in these? I am a similar size to you but not sure what size to go.
Hi Josie, all the sizing details and advice to buy up or down is in the shop description for these pants. We add it in to help people with their purchasing. x
After adding to cart and chickening out numerous times in the past, I’ve just ordered those drop crotch pants.
Now that I’m in a “just flattering enough” mindset -because let’s be honest, it’s not going to be pretty from behind- the soft chambray was what got me over the line.
Hah Johanne … I’m wearing them today and have just checked my behind! Thanks for shopping!
Love the white dress, kimono and drop pants. Well love it all but they are top of my list. Perhaps I should not so subtly print this post out and stick it on the fridge and write Xmas shopping list at the top 🙂
HAH Jess … I’ve never been one for subtleties! Go for it. x
That skirt is a must have. Gorgeous and made in Australia a total bonus ❤
I know right! Amazing x
Im far to excited to do anything else but play/dream/buy!
Glad you like Jane! x
Love it all, and you both look beautiful! I know what I will be doing tonight 🙂
Thanks Kathryn 🙂 x
Wow lovely collection again Nikki. It must be so much fun to curate! And you both look gorgeous. Just to let you know the link for the reversible skirt goes to the shorts (at least for me!). Amanda x
Thanks for the heads up! Fixed x And yes it is fun to curate – takes a lot to bring the vision together but is like a giant jigsaw puzzle so challenge is fun.
That Sasha Drake dress is swoonsome and even though I’m not really a skirt person, I love that reversible number – so versatile! You’ve done it again, Nikki, another season of sensational style!
Thanks Sammie – I’m not generally a skirt person either but this season I’ve been taken in by them!
