Spring 2015 Styling You Shop

Nikki Parkinson Fashion, How to 73 Comments

Pinch and a punch. It’s not only the first of the month, it’s the first day of my favourite season and the launch of the spring 2015 Styling You Shop.

The shop concept is still new to Styling You. This is the second time we’ve opened up the pop-up online shop and I’m excited that you’re excited to see what we have on offer.

Like the first Styling You Shop, which opened in May for autumn-winter, the aim is to help take the stress out of what to wear for the season ahead.

We want you to feel confident in your personal style every day and hope that this collection – and our guide on how to wear the collection – is a big help to you.

It’s not just a case of throw a bunch of items into a shop and hope you can make some of them work for your wardrobe.

What we’ve done is carefully select pieces to form a capsule wardrobe of building blocks for spring and beyond.

Styling You Shop - Spring 2015

Once again, I’ve worked with some of my favourite fashion designers and online stores to bring you a selection of clothes that can work for a multitude of occasions as well as for work and play.

A versatile garment is one that can be dressed up or dressed down and finding such garments has been the aim behind this season’s shop edit.

These are the 17 pieces you’ll find in store for just one month (or until sold out – stock is limited and in most cases when it’s gone, it’s gone). Garments range in size from size 6-16 or 18. One garment is free-size. We’ve also included a bag, two scarves and two necklaces for this edit. The price range is from $40-$285.

The intention has been to offer quality pieces that represent value for money – and pieces that will be in your wardrobe for many seasons to come.

For this season, we’ve also introduced a second everyday woman model into the mix. Joining me in offering styling inspiration is Peta (aka Trainee Mama). Peta is a part-time data analyst and mum to a gorgeous two-year-old boy. She’s a size 10 and 160cm, so offers an alternative to my size 14-16, 166cm. Please make her feel welcome.

Let’s take a look at what’s in store, shall we?

  1. Hi Nikki I need to return an item, due to wrong sizing, what is the process? They are the Surfina pants size 14. Just finding them a small fit and also quite short on me (I am normally a size 12/14 bottoms,14/16 tops and am 175 cm tall). So disappointed ! I was looking forward to wearing them even more than the leopard print 🙂

  2. Hi Nikki, it all looks great- as usually happens, I order something then go back to order something else. With the Surafina pants, i note the Surafina web site has back pockets on theirs, but I would rather order here if they are available in my size. If not available, do the pockets detract from the pants? Thanks again for some great ideas…

  3. Love it all Nikki!! The outfit options pics are just fabulous. Congrats on the success of the store again. Lots of general inspiration for us to work with too 🙂

  4. Oh my goodness some items /sizes have gone already !! thanks for the free shipping offer Nikki, I have finally got myself some leopardskin print on a scarf action thanks to a lot of reassurance from you on an earlier blog this year + the surafina pants + a top. The long necklace would have been nice too but it is goneski already !!…..Congratulations on the success of your online store. It’s clearly exactly what everyone is looking for out there in the “Real” world xox 😀

  5. Huge congrats on another fabulous collection!! Love how you show all the pieces on yourself and Peta. You both look gorgeous. I love the BT striped dress the most. So many ways to wear it – brilliant. Happy Spring xox

  6. I want to order the Surafina dress and the longer necklace but not sure about the sizing. Is the dress very oversized? I wear a 12 normally but being short, don’t want it to be too shapeless.

  7. Great collection! Am ordering some pieces now, but also able to use your 28 outfit guide to blend the new items with existing pieces which are similar to those in the collection!

  8. This is exactly what I need. Thank you Nikki. I have just ordered the Surfina pant but I think I’ll also grab the t-shirts too. Both you and Peta look fantastic in those pieces!

  9. Lovely, lovely, lovely – so much inspiration here. Adore most of it, but especially #13. Hmmm. Nikki, if you are 14-16 and wear the 14 and I’m 12-14 – would I get the 12? Trying to avoid ‘nightie’ but also not aiming for ‘snug’. I’m a week late for my wardrobe edit … but now I know where to start. Happy me! Lovely you! Thank you x

  10. Just gorgeous Nikki. This was a lovely read to wake up to after being up most of the night with my sick little man turning 1 tomorrow.

  11. Very exciting Nikki and love all the looks. I’ve yet to go through my wardrobe to do an edit which is needed now I’ve stopped breastfeeding. I definitely know I need my white tees. x

  12. It all looks amazing Nikki and I really like how you’ve modelled the items for a whole month, lovely outfits, after I’ve done my wardrobe edit I will be back to have a look at what I need, well done Nikki and Peta and you look beautiful in everything

  13. Firstly, your alternate model is quite the hottie! Good find 😉

Loving this season’s stripe base, I think there are quite a few pieces there I’ll have to snap up! (Or try to ‘borrow’ from Peta!)
