I’m a huge fan of lifestyle clothing pieces – pieces that need minimal care but always look good no matter where you need them to take you.
I’m also a huge fan of such pieces as they are as comfortable to wear as pyjamas or a trackie.
So, in effect, they are cheat clothes.
You get to feel the comfort, all the while being fully dressed suitable for public viewing.
This week’s featured label, Bamboo Body, offers a range of lifestyle clothing pieces in, you guessed it, fabric made from bamboo.
Bamboo fabric is softer and more breathable than cotton. It also has the ability to draw moisture away from the body as well as anti-bacterial and anti-odour properties.
The bamboo plant itself is a sustainable source for fabric – it grows quickly, doesn’t need too much water, sucks up carbon dioxide and releases more oxygen than trees.
The sisters behind Bamboo Body fell in love with the fabric for its feel but also its sustainability.
The Bamboo Body pieces have also been UV tested and have come back with UPF 50+ rating.
This outfit is as comfortable to wear as it looks. These are both pieces that slot very much into my existing wardrobe.
Good, basic, trans-seasonal pieces that can be layered and changed to suit the occasion.
Wear with flats as I’ve done here – got to love a rose gold – or heels as in the model photo.
Add wedges, a scarf and blazer and this makes a suitable work outfit.
The tee is relaxed but sizing up to the 16 worked best for me on the hips. With the pants I sized down to a 14.
Have you worn bamboo? Are you fan of lifestyle clothing pieces such as these?

PS. Don’t forget, the Spring Styling You Shop is open until September 30. Some pieces are already sold out. Don’t miss out on your favourites.
