It’s so easy to get stuck in a winter rut, wearing black on black with black. I fall into this routine easily, so I love it when I find gorgeous, colourful pieces to brighten my winter wardrobe and my day.

This is a perfect piece to add to your winter wardrobe. The black base makes it easy to wear with tights, boots and your favourite faux fur vest and the full sleeves are so flattering and have enough room to add another lawyer underneath if you’re feeling the chill.

The model is 5’10 and wearing a small, I’m 5’6 1/2 and wearing a medium. I probably could have worn a small, but the medium gives a little cleavage (which I like) and little extra length. I’m wearing my dress with a belt to highlight the waist (you can find a similar one here), a long line cardigan from Bamboo Body $139.95 and black Ramarim boots*.
The draw string waist makes it easy to fit to size, or to change the appearance of the dress. You can leave it looser for a more relaxed feel or bring it in to highlight your waist and dress it up.

I look forward to rocking this in summer too, on the beach, with havaianas, a straw hat, a glass of bubbly … and a tan on my lily white legs.

I’m every shade of black and grey but always vamp it up a bit with contrasting scarf and jacket I love use as my pops, animal, chartreuse, red, camel, coco, and/or winter white!

Isn’t amazing how when real/regular women pose, other real/regular women really ‘get’ what the clothing can look like. On the model, I’m like ‘how pretty’ but can’t relate/engage with the look for myself, on you I’m like ‘oh how gorgeous, I could wear that!”
From Melbs, I love my black in winter, but l add a colourful scarf and strong bright lipstick though.
