Brrrrr! Okay QLD. We’ve had our fair share of Summer. Goodbye and thanking you!

Winter is now almost here … well at least it feels like it. FINALLY!

So I’m going to let you in on a little secret, that maybe isn’t so secret after all.

I. LOVE. TURTLE NECKS. And I may show a bit of TLC towards a good ankle boot and splurge in a knit … or two. Shhh!

Now that I’ve got that off my chest, today I am here to show you the autumn-winter trends of 2015.

Ready?

Sorry ladies, there will be NO uggs involved (unless your tucked up at home 😉 )

2015 Autumn-Winter fashion trends

1. Country Road high-waisted ripped jean $129 | 2. Sportsgirl chunky rollneck crop $79.95 | 3. Rubi shoes tula knitted cuff boot $49.95

How to wear a turtle neck

… The turtle neck is back! And no, I’m not just saying that because it’s a favourite of mine. You only have to do a little bit of window shopping to pick up on this trend.

Turtle necks can be dressed up with a jacket or worn casually with your favourite pair of jeans. For a day time look, be sure to keep it simple with minimal accessories and a sling bag.

As for a night out … swap the bag for a clutch and a pair of heeled boots. Simple, right?

This timeless cream knit also works well with most autumn coloured jeans (ie, dark denim, burnt orange and olive). Other colours for winter include charcoals, musky pink, mulberry and winter white.

2015 Autumn-Winter fashion trends

1. Sportsgirl tuck stitch dress $129.95 | 2. Bella Bodies Camyz black leggings $49 (2 pack) | 3. Lipstik nerro boot $89.95

Now this outfit is same-same but different. And again, can be dressed up and down for both day and night.

This stitch dress would make the perfect dress for either a day at uni or a dinner out. Dress it down with a felt hat or dress it up with a statement necklace. Leggings are also great to layer with, when sporting a pair of sneakers or ankle boots.

These particular leggings are also the perfect autumn-winter staple item as they are not too heavy or light, but instead a fine, silky yarn making them longer-lasting and more durable.

Bohemian Traders top and anorak jacket

Another must-have this season is an anorak jacket … and being an all-rounder colour, like navy, works with just about anything. Whether you dress it up or dress it down, it works both ways! This jacket will be your best investment this season.

Plaid is also back this winter, and well … I think it’s here to stay. Clashing with other bold colours is also huge at the moment. Just check out Miss SY’s outfit below.
