How to keep a summer glow

The irony of this post is not lost on me.

According to my trusty weather app, the mercury is set to hit 39 degrees in Brisbane today.

HELLO. Isn’t it supposed to be autumn?

I’ll be harnessing all my own tips for keeping makeup from sliding off my face as I head out to a birthday lunch for a girlfriend.

Depending on where you live, it will start to cool down slowly or more quickly over the next few months. The sun is already taking longer to rise and apart from the crazy temps today and the past couple of days, there is a fresh breeze in the early morning.

But what if you want to keep that summer look going well into autumn?

Come on into the SY bathroom and I’ll talk you through my tips for how to keep a summer glow.

  4. erk to 39′. The weather for Perth is 30, 30, 30 for about another week. Even the guy doing on the weather on the radio this morning sounded bored. I love a bit of brightness for when the weather (eventually) gets cool – my skin always goes so grey-looking in winter once the summer glow fades. Thanks for the tips, Nikki.

  5. Great tips Nikki. I’ve been obsessed with the MAC illuminator powder these past few months, and I’ve been playing with the new Covergirl range of shimmer pastes.
I also tune into a Summer glow all year round 🙂

  6. I use MAC illuminator skin finish powder and the MAC blush I use has a gorgeous gold pigment that adds a lovely shimmer. Sounds like you are having SA weather, Autumn has arrived here, it was crisp n cool last night.

  7. I am dreading today. Going in early to get all the air con cranking. No makeup for me, just sunscreen! Great post, and I love illuminators too. Enjoy your lunch Nikki 🙂
