Unlock Your Style update

I’m off to Melbourne today so just popping in to give you a quick update on where it’s all at with Unlock Your Style.

The Melbourne event at Dymocks CBD store tomorrow night is all booked out. I’m so sorry if you didn’t get in. I’ll try to get back to Melbourne before Christmas for a follow-up event.

I’m very grateful to sponsors NIVEA Australia because having them on board means I can travel and meet as many Styling You readers as possible – and share in the Unlock Your Style excitement with you.

I’m updating the Unlock Your Style Events page as soon as I have other events locked in.

Yes, I have plans to get to Adelaide and Perth but just not booked at this stage and in reality will be late September and October. My family would like to see me occasionally 😉

Last week I was on the Sunshine Coast – at Maroochydore and Noosa – and in Brisbane.

All three events were fantastic.

You can check out the photos from there here, here and here.

This is perhaps my favourite photo from last week … Master SY offering up his iphoneography skills and pretty happy to get in on the action!

This week’s Uberkate Unlock Your Style necklace winner

I’m just loving all the photos in the #unlockyourstyle and #uys feed on Instagram and Facebook. Keep them coming.

This week’s winners of the Uberkate Unlock Your Style necklace is: @theplumbette for getting her daughter on board the Unlock Your Style train at a young age. Check out the photo here. (Bec is also a stylist … she’s started an Instagram account specifically for that. Follow her at @styled_by_bec)

Getting in the running to win this limited edition piece is simple. Here’s how. There are two more weeks left in this competition.

I’ve had some requests to buy the Unlock Your Style necklace. If there is enough interest, I will pre-order some to sell, so please let me know.

If you’ve bought the book and read it, tell me one thing (in the comments below) that was an AH-HA moment for you? Something you’ve already changed about the way you organise your wardrobe or the way you shop?

  1. Wish I could have just been tele-transported to one of your launches on the East coast, Nikki, BUT here’s hoping that we can be treated to a launch in Perth in the future. I’ve been seeing your book all over Bunbury too, at Big W and Target and also in Perth when I visited the other day. So you are ‘all over the place’ in WA 😉 In the meantime, I’m hanging out for a signed copy at PB Event. Thanks so much for including a link to my blog today.

  2. Thanks so much for choosing me as a winner Nikki! It was completely unexpected and deserves a blogpost about why I’m so grateful for this necklace. Your book is fantastic and my daughters will definitely use it as a resource when they’re older. X

you have helped me to improve some skills and your “lady room” advice was amazing and inspirational! … those compartments etc oh wow! … it was a part of me that needed some sorting! … I love my organized drawers! who’d believe it!
haven’t got your book yet but I’m definitely having one! all good and you are one amazing woman! <3 … love m:)X

  7. I felt very inspired after Friday nights launch Nikki. Being in a room full of extremely stylish women will do that to a gal. So on Saturday morning I was telling my husband about the wardrobe cull featured in the book and which I had read ages ago on the blog and did nothing. Well four hours later, four very hefty garbage bags full to the brim with clothes that I have hung on too I feel in control of my wardrobe again. It was truly liberating and exhausting and maybe a few tears but now I have only clothes that I feel great in. My hubby sat there the whole time and repeated your words like a mantra, “do you love it, does it make you feel good?” So thank you Nikki for everything you do, your advice and down to earth approach boosts me up weekly. And the book is an absolute treasure of ideas and advice. Now to shop for those basics! Bra fitting tomorrow x
