It’s a funny thing, the change in seasons. I don’t know about you, but for me it prompts me to make changes in my life.

Not necessarily big stuff, just stuff that I like to change up a bit every so often.

My wardrobe is an obvious one as the weather changes but so is my skincare.

I think that spring brings with it a renewed focus on our skin for a couple of reasons:

1. We’re usually showing more of it. EEK.

2. Because we’re showing more of it, we need to protect it.

3. And because I’m no spring chicken, each season brings with it a few more visible *character* lines and wrinkles.

Now, I’m ok with this getting older business but if you’re a regular around these parts, you’d know that I’m a little lot vain.

I know you can’t reverse the ageing process but I also know that a regular skincare routine with the right products for your skin can help you soften the blow process. A bit like a lovely Instagram filter.

I’ve been working with – and using skincare brand NIVEA – for a few years now and one of my go-to day creams is the NIVEA Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 30+.

For under $20 for a 50ml tub, it not only represents value-for-money skincare but also a formula that works and protects.

I know that if all I’ve had time to do in the morning is cleanse and add on my Q10 then I’m ok if I’m out in the sun and I know that my skin is getting a little helping hand in the age-defying department.

So what is Q10?

It sounds all scientific (and it is!) but Q10 is a co-enzyme that occurs naturally in our cells. It’s tasked with giving our skin cells a bit of energy, has powerful antioxidant properties to fight off free radicals and also protects and regenerates our skin cells.

As we get older, our skin cells don’t have as much Q10 as they used to, so they get sluggish which causes our skin to lose its elasticity and we look about as tired as we probably feel. Our skin is more prone to damage from free radicals, environmental factors and UVA light and that’s why we can wake up one morning and find new fine lines and deeper wrinkles.

This moisturiser contains a Q10 ingredient to help put back what we naturally lose – to give our skin cells a metabolic boost. The Q10 is absorbed in the skin and acts where it’s needed.

I find it incredibly hydrating but not in a sticky way, more in a sustained moisturising way.

My job as a beauty writer means that I trial and each week switch out a lot of skincare products.

I’ve used the NIVEA Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 30+ on and off in the past and it’s always on standby in my bathroom cabinet.

It’s not a surprise that NIVEA Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 30+ is Australia’s number 1 anti-ageing day cream.

For the next four weeks, it’s the only day moisturiser I’m going to use on my skin.

The reason?

NIVEA is currently running a money-back promotion. If you don’t see a difference in your skin after four weeks of using NIVEA Q10 Plus Anti-Wrinkle Day Cream SPF 30+ NIVEA will give you your money back.

  1. I bought mine on Saturday and am so pleased I did. Like so many of us, I have been using the same moisturiser for more years than I can remember. It’s not that it was bad, but now that I’ve tried this I can feel the difference. It feels so lovely on my skin and soothes it so much, that I don’t even care if it reduces wrinkles – I’ll buy it for the feeling alone. Thanks so much for introducing me to (another) new product.
