Everyday style outfits of the week

Such a diverse week on the #everydaystyle front, don’t you think?

The crazy weather offering up extremes from one end of the country to the other was certainly an influencer. As were Australia Day parties and gatherings.

For me, it was back to school and back to a more regular work-at-home routine after nearly eight weeks. I’m truly grateful that I started this challenge before school finished because I’m now well and truly in the habit of thinking about my outfits every day now.

It might seem such a small thing but to me it’s a big thing. I know if I look “put together” then I feel put together and I’m more likely to get things done.

Does that makes sense?

Anyhoo … continuing on with this week’s round-up. Thanks so much for playing along. I hope you feel the same way.

SY #everydaystyle (the outfit you liked the most)

It seems those Country Road utility pants keep on pleasing not just me – but you too (the outfit I feature here each week is the one that you gave the most likes to on Instagram). So glad I bought them. They’re like magic pants – comfy and flattering. How is that even possible?

Your #everydaystyle

Do you know how much I love looking through the feed for the #everydaystyle hashtag each day and re-capping each week? A LOT.

I just love how each and every one of you owns your own style. These are just a handful of my faves from the week. And yes, your eyes do not deceive you, that’s a guy joining us in the line up this week. Love your style Dad Down Under.

Blog roll

Not all the people joining in #everydaystyle are style bloggers but many are so I like to feature a couple of them here each week. Make sure you click on through and say hi. If you like what you see sign up to follow them.

the fashionable mum

The Fashionable Mum: Vicki is a Perth-based blogger and you just have to love her tagline, “sneaking fashion into the grocery budget”. She’s a 40-something mum who’s always had an obsession with fashion and she knows how to keep that obsession happening on a budget. You’ll also find great beauty tips there too.

ashley rose

Ashley Rose: Ashley is in her mid 20s and based in Melbourne. Her blog started as a way to chronicle her daily outfits but has grown to be more. She’s part of the successful Aussie Curves group and worked with a number of plus-sized brands. I wish I’d had my style as together as Ashley does when I was the same age.

  1. Wow! There I am! Thank you for including me! I love your hashtag and always enjoy joining in when I am wearing something worthy!

  2. I have a very similar pair of pants from Temt (as CR sold out in my size) and wore them to work one casual Friday. My boss called me ‘pyjama lady’. Never again! I thought I was looking so stylish and on trend 🙁

  3. Great to see a man in the #everyday style pics! There are some gorgeous fashions out there in everydaystyle land and so complimentary?I really love checking out everyone’s outfits everyday I think this is my 56th day in this challenge Nikki ,I thought I would just post a few pics but I actually like doing it every day and I have met some lovely women through IG.I bet you didn’t expect such a big reponse?Have a wonderful weekend Nikki x

      1. Stupid me didn’t realise it was an every day thing, even though the hashtag is every day style…this is a true representation of exactly how flakey I can be hahaha Del xx

  4. Great to see a man in the mix. Also happy that my Sunshine Coast hat grabbed you too. It has certainly started a few conversations on the beach this Summer. Thanks for the inclusion Nikki.

  5. Hi Nikki, when I click on the instragram links below the pics above it just goes to a blank page – do I have to sign onto intragram to view them?

  6. They all look gorgeous but I would have to go with Claire – great dress and perfect with those flat yellow sandals. Love it!

Also, I love those pants on you Nikki and wish I could find something similar. I tried the CR ones on in store and they were heinous on me! The eternal search for flattering pants continues!

    1. I know how you feel Vanessa, I tried on the CR pant a while ago too and I couldn’t get them off fast enough!! Let us know where you find the elusive pant

    2. Vanessa, I have these pants and I have to admit it took a little while to convince myself. I’m used to a closer fit on my bottom half and looser up top, and these pants definitely qualify as loose! I hate that potato-sack-all-over look, but find I’m often wearing something sleevless up top which restores some definition again. Other than that, they are relaxed and very informal so I don’t worry about it and give in to the whole loose-all-over thing. If you’d like really comfy pants with some definition, I’ve been loving ones from Metalicus. x

      1. Thanks Nic! I’ll check out the Metalicus ones. I agree with the dilemma of what to wear up top to avoid sack factor. Sleeveless/fitted/scoop neck seem to work best for me. x
