I have a confession to make.
I was in my yoga gear until 2pm yesterday before finally getting dressed for the day.
I toyed with the idea of sharing said yoga gear as my #everydaystyle but that kind of defeats the purpose of what this exercise is all about.
It’s supposed to motivate me to mix up what I wear every day. It’s supposed to make me wear more of what’s in my wardrobe. It’s supposed to make me be more mindful of my everyday style.
But you know? I’m only human.
Besides it was rainy … and a little bit on the cool side for Queensland at this time of year.
I needed to change anyway.
My fave outfit this week
It’s funny when you look at all the outfits you’ve worn over the past seven days – all in one place and recorded forever on the internets – you get a better understanding of what works for you. And which ones you’re more likely to wear again in a hurry.
For me, this one was hands-down a winner. And not just because of the pineapples … or the fact that Dave Hughes’ wife wore the very same tee on Dave’s final show for The Project.
Outfits of the week
I thought it would be fun to share some of the great #everydaystyle photos here on the blog each week.
It’s not about a best-dressed competition. More about sharing the diversity of style out there.
Would love you to follow them.
Style blog roll
Not everyone who’s joining in with #everydaystyle has a style blog – or any blog – but each week, I’d like to introduce you to a couple who do.
You may be able to identify your style with them. You may connect with their lifestyle, their age, their shape or where they live.
Each woman may inspire you to stretch outside your style comfort zone a little.
If that’s the case, subscribe to their blogs, follow them on Facebook or Instagram and show them the love. They’re worth it.
Sonia Styling: Sonia is a gorgeous Adelaide girl who not only got married last year and had an A-MAZING honeymoon throughout Europe but is also renovating her dream home with her husband. She knows how to take her style from gym, to work to a night out, all the while keeping it real and fun.
iCurvy: Jo is based in New South Wales, LOVES shopping and inspires every day with her outfits – particularly her work outfits. She says she just “happens to be plus size”. I like that because it’s not about size it’s about style and Jo has bucket loads of it.
Want to join in? Simply upload a photo of yourself to Instagram or Facebook, use the #everydaystyle and tag @stylingyou so I can find you. Remember, don’t feel you have to post every day. Post when you can.
