I know there are already presents under the tree for me this Christmas. They were wrapped up while I was in Kuala Lumpur at the weekend. I have a feeling I know what they are because the present-buying process usually starts a month or so ago with my husband asking me for a specific list.
Now, while this may not seem romantic – nor in the spirit of the season – it does ensure I generally get what I want.
This year we’ve set a budget for each other. Oh, who am I kidding … most years we set a budget for each other. The dollars are firmly directed to the kids. So, the next best thing for me was to create this post with my dream wishlist. The no-budget wishlist if you like.
I like indulgent things as gifts. Things I wouldn’t normally go out and buy for myself. Things that make me feel a bit special. Any ONE of the things below would make my day.
1. Frankie & Nicole maxi nightie $89.95 | 2. Baci chocolates $16.95 | 3. Gasparre Cashmere jetset trench $499 | 4. Uberkate Smashed earrings $195 | 5. Chambord Liqueur @ Dan Murphy’s $35.99 | 6. Champagne Mad Men-style “cups” @ Wheel & Barrow $9.95 each | 7. ghd Scarlett Deluxe Collection set $309 | 8. Table Tonic handmade Moroccan leather pouffe $199
What do you want for Christmas? Anything on my wishlist that appeals?

I would love to feel confident as a business owner with a new wardrobe and a new perfume that could make me feel like I could do it all with a family 🙂

Oh, definitely … all that would be wonderful … hope Santa delivers!
I love the look of the nightie 🙂
My christmas list is not very big. This year I want an iPad – not likely and I don’t expect it – but I did ask my Mum for potholders and oven mitts hahah I am getting old!!! I need them!! I also want a MOR candle.
Author
LOL – can just see you with your potholders – bet they’d be cute ones! xx
Love it all – here’s a tip with the Chambord. Fill up half a shot glass with a nip of Chambord then a nip of Baileys on top. It’s called a Jam Doughnut and is heaven ….if heaven was in a shot glass that is. Merry Christmas.

Oh my … I’m excited.
What lovely taste! There is nothing like getting a beautiful nightie or chocolates for Christmas. My husband and I have swapped Lindt chocolates with each other since we’ve been together. The minute when someone asks me what I want my mind usually goes blank- this year it has been an iPod to replace my old one, and a sewing box. Both boring and practical, but things I usually wouldn’t buy anyway 🙂

Thanks Steph … and yes, you’re right. It’s the things we wouldn’t just go and buy ourselves that make great presents. x
I have that GHD and it’s MUCH nicer in person. Not such a bright red but a deep sparkly crimson.

So Miss Pink is Scarlett. I LIKE that. x
Oooh so do I!
Well they didn’t have any pink one’s I liked.
love Love LOVE table tonic! Louise does such a great job with the store and website – great picks Nikki! I hope Santa is VERY good to you!

I know – she’s a amazing. I will have a collection of pouffes one day!
I really really want Blvgari sunglasses. But at $500 they are double this years gift $ limit. I’ll find a way to justify them soon enough.
I do have Styling You to thank for about half of the gifts that hubby will be wrapping for me this year. Thanks Nikki for getting me to consider things that otherwise might have gone unnoticed. And now I’m off to look at that maxi nightie, afterall my birthday is only just around the corner. X

It’s never to early to “plan” for such occasions. And re the sunglasses, do you know anyone travelling to the US … would probably be half the price.
I just put that GHD set on layby. It’s fantastic. I already have one, but I don’t have one that’s black and red. I love the Gasparre Jetset trench!!
Author
I think this is ghd’s most beautiful set yet. Lucky you. And yes, the Gasparre is divine. I travelled on the weekend with a scarf/wrap from the summer range and it felt like I was being hugged the whole time!
And just like that I want a “maxi nightie”…
Author
Of course you do!
I did a dream wishlist for myself too as we have actually had to go the no gift for each other route this year… just hope we get some from our relative in Old Blighty or I will be stealing the kids , lol.. Love a bit of Uberkate and I think I might have to get myself some of those glasses.. fabulous xx

I know champagne is best done in flutes to retain the bubbles but I’m obsessed by Mad Men, so keen on having a set in this style. LOL.
Bubbles can come in any vessel in my book and the more attractive the better…. I would take these over flutes anyday, then pop a cocktail in after!! xx
This year, we have done up a wishlist each (hubby, me, Mr 17 & Miss 15) but the twist is … we are then buying our own presents (witha certain price limit) LOL!!! Guaranteed to get what we want then. So looking forward to my new nude bag and wallet – I think I’ll blame my latest passion for all things nude (that sounds rude, doesn’t it?!) on you, Nikki!!!!
Author
Oh, I like that! There’s certainly still a ceremony around this and yes, you’ll get EXACTLY what you want. Good call on the nude accessories!
Love your selection, especially the TT pouffe. I got one in silver (heaven!) a few weeks back for my 40th (well it was actually a combined present with husband). I think my girlfriend thought it was a strange request when I asked her to buy it for us, but it was the best present. I use it everyday and love to look at it. Perfection!
That nightie looks gorgeous btw. Will have to look into that one sometime. But I’ve never heard of Chambord. Do you drink it on its own or mix it?
Author
Oh, Kirralee … I want the silver too! Excellent pressie. And the Chambord is an essential ingredient for my fave festive cocktail – a French Martini. Here’s a recipe: http://www.drinksmixer.com/drink1504.html
Oh I love a wish list to give to the husband. I do a less fancy version, where I email links of things I like to him.
This year we totally treated ourselves spending more on each other individually than we did on the three kids collectively. Taking christmas back I believe is the term.
You have good taste! Miss 9 has a pouffe from table Tonic yet I do not. Think I need to rectify that.
Author
Anna … I like that! Taking Christmas Back … it’s already on the agenda for next year!!
