Those who know me, know I’m a huge fan of anything in the beauty department that doesn’t take a lot of effort to get a fabulous result.
Which is probably why I’ve been obsessed a fan of mineral foundation for almost six years. Not coincidentally that time was also around the time I went back to work as a fashion and beauty editor after the birth of my youngest child.
I was DESPERATE for any products that made me look halfway like the stylish vision I was trying to uphold. Let’s just say I latched on to mineral makeup and have never let go.
To find out why I’ve never let go and to get some tips from my how-to video, head over to Justb. The Justb. team of me, Pip and Erica hangs out on Facebook throughout the day … because we LOVE a chat. Come on over, like us and say hi.

I was a Bare Mineral ID junkie for a good five or six years but it is no longer available in Australia. So we switched our salon over to Inika which is an Australian made, organic and natural range. I was a bit unsure how it would go and my biggest fear was COVERGAGE (the number one thing people ask about) but it is great and it has a liquid too so best of both worlds. 🙂

Inika is great, Pamela … and Bare Minerals is available in Australia through Kit Cosmetics. It wasn’t available for some time but is back.
So having read your advice on Justb I took myself off to the Kit cosmetics counter and had a lovely time being pampered and walked away with my first ever mineral foundation. It will be waiting for me under the christmas tree just in time for my summer holiday. Yay!

Oh, fantastic Jacki! Glad you had success … enjoy playing!
I use Mirenesse Liquid Silk Foundation, it’s the best for me, lasts all day. I have a pressed mineral powder (which you could use as foundation on its own) that I apply over the top if I need a little bit of extra coverage. I have tried a loose mineral powder foundation, but it looked cakey to me.

Thanks for your tip, Vanessa … and loose minerals shouldn’t be cakey unless they include fillers.
