Pucker up for Liptember

Nikki Parkinson Beauty, Life 36 Comments

My lips are quite demanding.

Leave them to their own devices – for even a short period of time – and they get a bit huffy. Rebelling and quickly turning from silky smooth into something resembling a lunar landscape.

Not pretty.

Which is why I have been known to turn around and head home should I swap handbags and find I’ve gone out without a lip balm within easy reach.

Even now as I write this, I’m conscious that my lips could do with a balm top up.

Addicted? Maybe just a little.

Which is why instead of ignoring my possible addiction, I’ve instead decided to embrace it and put my money where my lips are and support Liptember.

And I hope you will too.

Every day during September I’m going to pucker up with Burt’s Bees tinted lip balm in Hibiscus.

Burt's Bees Tinted Lip Balm in Hibiscus is the pin-up lip balm for this year's Liptember. Get it at Myer for $10 from Thursday and support this cause for women's health

This particular balm is the pin-up balm for Liptember (you can pick up yours for $10 at Myer – and it’s also available at www.myer.com.au). This is not only an amazing lip balm – so, so luxe on the lips – the deep pink shade is universally flattering.

Funds raised from sales of the balm – and individual sponsorships – will be used to support national programs and research at the Centre for Women’s Mental Health, which is the first gender-specific mental health clinic in Australia, and Lifeline Australia, which provides access to crisis support, suicide prevention and mental health support service.

You can sponsor me here – or register yourself. All updates will be on the Liptember Facebook page. Also, look out for my daily Burt’s Bees Hibiscus lip looks during September on Instagram.

  4. Burts Bee’s lipgloss?
Now that is something I must try!
I’ve used Burt’s Bee’s since Bluey was born, but their nappy rash ointment, which is cloth nappy friendly.

  5. I’ll sponsor you, if anyone can Liptember it gorgeouslly, it’s you.

I do love Burt’s Bees. I didn’t know they did tints. I have used their balm for years and years (back in the day, you could only buy Burt’s Bees from Remo on Oxford St… THAT many years!)

  9. I’ve been waiting for this! All the makeup gurus I follow on youtube have been raving about this product. They’re all in the northern hemisphere so have had this product for a while. I didn’t realise that it was going to be connected to a good cause as well – even better!!
