WIN: 5 Benefit b.right! skincare packs

Nikki ParkinsonBeauty 120 Comments

Stepping up to a Benefit counter – or into its only Australian boutique in Paddington – is pretty close to girlie heaven for me.  I’m a sucker for clever and attractive packaging so they’ve got me before I’ve even tried the product or used any of the services.

Backing up the merchandising is a range of products that not only do what they say they’re going to do – but often a whole lot more.

Now, Benefit has entered the skincare market.

Makes sense when you think about it.  Lots of girls and *ahhem* mature women come in to get their beauty fix but there’s only SO much great makeup – or good brows – can do if you haven’t taken some care with what’s going underneath the pretty stuff.

With b.right! Radiant skincare, Benefit is tackling skin’s most telling factor that we might be getting on a bit – or that we haven’t been looking after ourselves.  The range is designed to lighten the complexion and moisturise the skin so that you glow before the makeup even touches your face.

Benefit b.right! skincare collection

Can I just say that some days, this is a big ask of my skincare regime?  But I’ve been trialling three of the products from the range – Cleanse Foamingly Clean facial wash ($38), Triple Performing Facial Emulsion SPF 15+ ($45) and It’s Potent! Eye Cream ($58) and I can see what they’re getting at.

I’m getting the hydration I’m seeking in a skincare product PLUS some complexion enhancers that I really do need.   Those complexion brighteners are coming from a specially formulated tri-radiance complex created for the range, which “reinforces the skin’s moisture barrier and visibly brightens with a concentrated does of hydration”.

I’m something of an eye cream connoisseur. And WOWSERS!  My under eyes are totally in love with It’s Potent!  (Give this eye cream to every first-time mum you know so that even when she’s operating on three hours’ sleep (on a good night) her eyes will say otherwise.  You’ll be her bestie friend for life.)

Benefit counters are located in selected Myer stores around Australia.  In Sydney, do check out the gorgeous boutique in Oxford Street, Paddington.  Tell the Benebabes I sent you!  You can also buy online at

  1. To be honest, I have a very slack skincare routine! I often find that I either don’t like the products I buy or I end up with samples that I really love. Recently, I went to a benefit counter and they showed me this amazing range! It was the first time I was totally sold on skincare and I could see the difference when comparing my hands. So I would like to answer this question as if I won this pack, I could show you how to maintain and gain skin that glows! Love the b.right range!

  2. Introduce antioxidants into your skin care regime! Ensuring your skin care products contain ingredients such as antioxidant vitamins and botanicals will help repair your skin, while preventing future damage by protecting against free radicals, which are the contributing factor to making our skin age prematurely. Antioxidants will give you back that bright, healthy complexion that glows with radiance to keep you looking younger longer 🙂

  3. Keep it clean! And once it’s clean make sure you clean your hands too before you apply any moisturisers/sunscreens/creams.

  4. I’m really loving the double cleanse. Cleans the day off, gets rid of makeup and city grime and prepares your skin for receiving the benefits of the products.

I just love the Benefit names! 🙂

  5. Drink plenty of water, get lots of sleep, eat a good diet, exercise & cleanse/tone/moisturise your skin daily!

  6. Smile and be happy! Anyone can glow with a smile on their face if it comes from within,(oh, and drink plenty of water…but not at the same time!)

  7. I like to use skin care with AHA’s and do regular light skin peels at home. Along with this I make sure I use hydrating moisturisers and 30+ sunscreen every single day.

  8. Drink lots of water and not too much alcohol, exfoliate-cleanse-moisturize every day and try to smile more, it makes you feel good which usually makes you look great too 🙂

  9. A dab of white concealer inside the rim of lower lashline, and just a touch in the inner corners of the eye to make them pop

  10. Go for the natural look and not the Mimi look from the Drew Carey Show as men love a natural looking woman, I would know for I am a man.

  11. I exfoliate (using a scrub and exfoliator) every second day, it keeps my skin feeling refreshed and glowing! and i also keep to a strick skincare routine and NEVER EVER foget to remove my makeup 😀

  12. Cleanse your skin with natural yoghurt, use honey to indulgently moisturise and applying a fenugreek-leaf facemask will leave you POREfessionally AGLOW and SKINtastically radiant!

  13. You’ve heard it once, you’ve heard it a thousand times – but WATER WATER WATER! It does amazing things to hydrated your skin!

  14. my tip for getting and maintaining glowing skin; is eat healthily, drink lots of water, wear sunscreen, moisturise and if all else fails, wear a lot of illuminator:)

  15. My best tip is to take out the makeup every night before going to bed and to exfoliate atleast once a week.

  16. Sun sense is my Priority One;
Protecting my skin from our harsh sun.
Moisturisers with SPF thirty or more –
Healthy, glowing skin, it will ensure!

  17. Drink lots of fresh water. I splash my face with cold water when I awake in the morning, then moisturise and start my day.

  18. Exfoliate, Cleanse, use moituriser with sunscreen, eat healthy foods, drink plenty of water, excercise regularly with your body and face, enjoy the outdoors, breath fresh air.:)

  19. My best tip is applying eggwhite on your face at night (take it off in the morning). It tightens your skin. It is also handy for me, because I am always getting egg on my face :/

  20. Drink lots of water and cleanse, tone, moisturise twice daily and exfoliate and use a mask weekly and a facial when you can afford to.

  21. A totally agree with the sentiment here the FREE stuff water and sleep make a huge difference to my skin OH and cutting down caffeine and alcohol too!

  22. Clense twice daily, use a refreshing toner and spf moisturiser. Exfoliate once a week. Smile – it makes everything glow.

  23. A good cold shower rejunvenates the skin and gets your blood flowing. It always leaves your skin looking radiant.

  24. I just received a sample of the B.Right Cleanser and It’s Potent Eye Cream with an Adore Beauty order. They are beautiful products, especially the eye cream. It would be amazing to have the entire set. WOW.
My hint for great skin is to always cleanse your face, morning and night. Never sleep in makeup, EVER. And keep face moisturised with an SPF face moisturiser.
    Good luck to everyone.

  25. Thank you for introducing me to ‘Benefit’ Nikki.
You’re right, the packaging is gorgeous and I’d love to be able to sample their range.

For me skin care is all about starting on the inside. Healthy diet, lots of water and gentle exercise.
I guess you could go even further in and say a happy heart is really the key, because there’s really nothing that makes a gal look more gorgeous than a glowing smile in her eyes & on her lips.

Skin brushing {particularly in winter} and rehydrating creams are really important in our diverse QLD climate and skin protection in the form of SPF cream and hat are also essentials.

    My fingers are crossed,

    xx Felicity

  26. I use olive oil to remove my makeup (which makes my skin feel amazing), exfoliation and moisturing are very key AND also cleaning makeup brushes very regularly.
And yes, as others suggested, water, exercise, a good diet and a killer smile always helps 😉

  27. Smile – of course water and sleep and a good routine are important, but nothing will make you glow more inside & out than a genuine smile.

  28. I use serum to create an angelic glow. not only does it instantly smoothe my skin and create a lovely makeup base, but in the long term its nourishing my skin 🙂

  29. Regular exercise, together with cleansing, toning, exfoliating and moisturizing, drinking water regularly and a positive mindset!

  30. While I completely agree with all the previous comments….sleep, water, nutritionally dense food, proper skin care routines, etc…I have a simple secret that I use to get and maintain glowing skin.

When I was a teenager (oh so many years ago!) I was taught an invaluable skincare technique by a gorgeous Greek aunt with glowing skin (btw,it does not involve ingesting copious amounts of olive oil, though that helps too). My aunt taught me to regularly bathe my face with warm, well-steeped camomile tea after cleansing, followed by the immediate application of moisturiser.

I still use the technique and my 24 year old daughter also makes it part of her regular skin care routine.

  31. To keep my skin glowing I make sure I eat a lot of vitamin B rich foods and antioxidant rich foods. I also exfoliate twice a week and moisturise twice a day. Keeping out of the sunlight also helps! 🙂

  32. Wash your face with cold water every morning, take your make up off every night. Also be nice to your face. Picking, poking and squeezing force bacteria deeper into the skin, resulting in scarring and further breakouts.

  33. I use a home made rose water toner. Its benefits include antibacterial, soothing, healing and antiseptic properties. It is very rich in flavonoids and vitamins, including A, C, D, E and B3.

  34. Sleep …… And regular facials. However with 2 little girls not getting much of either at the moment!
    Love your blog Nikki!

  35. Treat your skin like an exquisite silk dress that has to last a lifetime…wash it carefully with gentle products and never leave it in the hot midday sun.

  36. Exfoliation, hydration and relaxation if i take care of my skin and treat it well i am rewarded with a healthy glow, i know when im neglecting my skin because it shows.

  37. Read Nikki’s post and wear a HAT!! Apart from that, eat well, laugh a lot, drink good wine and make yourself a priority (at least occasionally).

  38. SLEEP……failing that, and it often is a big fail having two kids under the age of 3, I recommend a dash of Benetint to make me look healthy and a splash of Benefit high beam to make me look like I might have actually had some sleep. And of course a visit to their fab brow bar can wipe 7 years off your face in minutes. All that with a side order of a very large takeaway flat white is how I fake it : )

  39. The best way to get skin that glows is plenty of rest and h2o!! Maintaining.. The same
Again and remembering to cleanse, tone and moisturise
    Your skin!

  40. Tell your kids, “You look extra beautiful this morning” when they sleep all night – a full night’s sleep makes us all look more beautiful!

  41. winter is here and that means for me dull and dry skin! My number one tip for glowing skin is to eat foods that are bursting with natural color and antioxidants!

This way your body is getting rid of free radicals and also the different fruits and veg are providing body with all different sorts of minerals and vitamins to boost immune system and to also clear the skin!

My Fav fruit for glowing skin: Berries ( blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, cranberries, blackberries etc)
Good luck for fabulously glowing skin!

  42. Maintaining glowing radiant skin does not magically happen within a week. My tip that will ultimately help skin gradually glow and shine with radiance is to live a happy life style and do what you love! Eat, play and love in moderation. Also regularly replenishing your delicate skin with serums, masks and treatments will in the long run brighten, plump and also make skin glow! Make your skin shine glow from inside out 🙂 x

  43. My tip is to be happy on the inside, it will show on the outside. A smile on your face can instantly make you look glowing and even more beautiful.

  44. Gently exfoliate with warm water and a terry towel face washer, moisturise and then apply foundation mixed with an illuminator like Benefit’s Moonbeam!

  45. I use Johnsons Baby Lotion on my face, I have really sensitive skin and the baby products are really gentle! Exfoliate 2 or 3 times a week and plenty of water!

  46. I havn’t yet perfected beautiful glowy skin but im sure if I win a benefit B right skincare pack my skin will be radiant and glowing in no time!

  47. Gosh, I love the packagaing. Such as a sucker for petty colours at eye height!

My tip is…ummmm…not sure if I should say it…but..umm…SEX! But with a happy ending. That normally gives me a special glow and then a week to myself 😉

  48. I am in the market for a new range of skincare – the whole shebang. I have buudgeted for it and now am looking for the brand that will suit me. Thanks for this post, I will look them up in MYER.

As for a tip – well, drinking water, water, water seems to make a difference for me.

I remember a gay guy at the Lancome counter once tell me “never put your face under the hot water in the shower – it will age you, honey, simply AGE you” so I try and stick by that mantra!

  49. For getting skin that glows I’d suggest falling in love! For maintaining it use a good skincare regime that suits your skin and don’t lose the feeling of being in love, lol

  50. My tip for glowing skin is to exfoliate with Jurliques Everyday Exfoliator once or twice a week, drink plenty of water, and get plenty of sleep.

  51. Easy – Drink LOTS of water!

Last year I had to dramatically up my intake of water due to some kidney problems and soooo many people started asking me what I was doing to my skin to make it look so porcelain and clear. My answer? Drinking heaps of water!

  52. Benefit is my favourite beauty brand, I have so many of their products, but I have yet to try this new range!
My tip currently is to use Alpha-H Gentle Dauly Exfoliant, it really has done wonders for my skin, clearing it right up and making it brighter than it has ever been before. I feel like I have a glow now!

  53. Exfoliate, cleanse, moisturise, eat healthily and I think sleep is the biggest factor!( not always possible though!)

  54. It’s important to maintain a healthy diet and drink plenty of water for healthy and glowing skin! I always incorporate cleanser, toner, moisturiser and eye-cream to my daily skincare regime to ensure my epidermis also gets that extra bit of moisture.

  55. Eating healthy, lots of water and rest is a sure way to keep my complexion looking radiant….well some of the time anyway! Combine this with daily cleanse, tone, moisturise/eye cream routine and weekly exfoliation. I also love the little exfoliation pads that you can get from The Body Shop etc. My skin LOVES them and always comes out feeling refreshed!

  56. Water, water, water, cleansing, moisturizing, water, water, water, sleep. They are really the only things I do and have found to work for my skin, although I am looking to upgrade to a more advanced and luxurious regime…

  57. Like most things in life, I find that balance is needed to bring out that glow from within. Yes exercise will do it, yes drinking water will do it, and yes sleeping will do it… But too much of any of the above leaves me feeling either rundown, bloated, or fatigued. So my tip for a glowing complexion is balance and MAINTENANCE. A regular sleep pattern, regular exercise, keeping well hydrated, and a daily skin routine including a serum (I love A’kin’s Cellular Radiance Serum, but would love to try Benefit’s B.Right Skincare Ultra Radiance Facial Re-hydrating Mist) helps to bring out that bright glowing complexion that looks and feels healthy. Above all, how you look on the outside is usually a good indicator of how you’re feeling on the inside, so surround yourself with love, laughter and light to bring that extra sparkle to your skin 🙂

  58. Being consistant. No matter how tired, or cold you are (damn winter), always cleansing, moisturising and undereye creaming every morning and night is my top tip to gorgeous skin.

  59. Thank you for hosting this giveaway – *shakes head in excitement* Benefit definitely has proven itself to be an adorable brand that truly captures my attention every time.

This may sound cliche, but every time I take an afternoon nap, boy does my face glow. I was not sure at first but my friends, my mother and everyone always commented “Gosh your skin is glowing!” every after an afternoon nap! Strange but true!

Another thing that does make my skin glow is face masks, whether it’s those wash-off ones or the face sheet ones. They sure brightens and nourishes my skin.

Little trick I recently found is actually using Benefit Ooh La Lift under the eyes and on top of cheekbones. This product truly gives you that natural glowing skin! Me likey and need to get the full size now.

This skincare sound like a calling, would definitely love to try them out!

  60. Sleep and Water… However the last time I was glowing, it was with jaundice so what the hell would I know?… They tell me it is water and sleep, the water I can do, but the sleep? ask me in 20 years.

  61. I find drinking lots of water, eating vegetables, using a clay mask twice a week and enough sleep works best for me. Of course not always possible with a 2yo and soon to be newborn. 🙂

  62. Lots of water, moisturiser, love and sex… oh and everything in the Benefit range because it will all make you glow (even when you arent 😉 ).

  63. I get out for a jog in the morning, just a quick dash around the block. It gets the blood pumping and circulating which is vital for good skin. All the toxins built up over night get flushed out. And you know how your cheeks get rosy after exercise? Well that increased fresh blood flow helps with my (gasp!) adult acne and helps prevent wrinkles and sagging cheeks.

  64. Go to kitchen drawer. Open aluminum foil and pull out a length the size of a basketball. Get foil, position in front of the face and then push it forward on to the face. Your glow is then complete.

  65. Thanks for hosting this amazing giveaway! I think the best way to maintain glowing skin is to double cleanse, and don’t shy away from whitening cream because it evens out the skin tone and makes it more luminous.

Benefit’s new skincare range looks heavenly!!

  66. H2o and then so more H2o everyday, a scrub every other day to get rid of dead skin cells and a clay mask at least once a week to help purify your skin, oh and don’t forget to drink more H2o!

  67. water water water…

drinking it specifically. Because its colder we have a tendancy not to drink as much water in winter, and we really should.

exfoliation is always a must too – not just your face but your entire body, followed by a good moisteriser.

  68. I have never tried the Benefit Skin Care range and have only recently heard about them. I would love to try the products to see for myself if the products are worth while buying.:)

  69. My key for glowing skin is eating lots of carrots! Extra carrotine in your system gives you a slightly yellow colour like a background tan and the extra fiber is good for you too!! Really it works!

Also make sure you exfoliate regurlary, if you don’t all the lovely creams in the world won’t help because your skin won’t absorb them properly.

I ADORE Benefit! I cannot wait to try their skin care range…as always the packaging is perfect and it sounds like the product is great too!!
