Mad for Benefit Cha Cha Tint

I’ve got to admit it.  When I first laid eyes on the colour of the liquid I may have let out a little shriek.

OMG. I’m too old for bright orange.  And this … this … looks positively iridescent.

But being the kind of the beauty product freak that I am, I gave it a whirl.

The shrieking was still continuing on application as the mango colour does sit initially on the lips.  But as it sinks in and dries, it blends with your natural lip colour (mine are a darkish pink) to create an orangey-red finish that, I must say, I was pretty chuffed with.

It’s the perfect perk-me-up lip for winter and in summer will just be plain zesty.

Benefit Cha Cha Tint on the lips ... less fluoro and more orange-red. I likey.

And if you’re already a fan of the Benefit tints* that came before Cha Cha, you’ll know the lasting power of these suckers.  I’ve found I get a good three hours out of my tints before needing to touch up – and that’s with having a gloss applied regularly over the top and sipping many a few carefully considered drinks.  You might be fine with the tint’s matte finish.  My lips need the extra moisture of a clear balm or gloss.

*Benetint – a dark pink tint – was originally conceived in the 1970s for an exotic dancer who requested something to make her nipples look more pink.  Then came Posietint – a poppy pink – in 2008.  I love them all.

Available from Saturday, June 18, 2011.

  1. Oooh – I have the Posietint and love it. I use it for cheeks and lips. Am tempted to give this one a try but am not sure how it would go on lips.

I just love Benefit. Classic case of a brand that talks the talk and walks the walk.

    1. Benefit definitely is a brand that does just that. And give the Cha Cha a go … it really will look great on most people’s lips as the pink of the lips blends with the mango colour.

  2. I was curious to see what the actual colour was. From what I saw on their website, it looked too orange, so I decided against it. But seeing it on you, hmm…I’m thinking it’s not that bad.
