Long before we descended in ol’ Sydney town for the Aussie Bloggers Conference last weekend, talk had turned to the omgwhatamigoingtowear question. Can I just say everyone radiated with a high degree of fabulousity*?
I cannot take credit for my own fabulousity. I’m very grateful to have had more than a helping hand a long the way (and I’m not talking about Mrs Woog’s nutritional advice that includes nibbling ONLY the ends of swag bag chocolates in a quest to find that elusive peppermint cream after room service failed to provide us with a bowl of chips after 11pm).
As someone who blogs about all things fashion and beauty on a daily basis, boy did I feel the pressure to turn up looking something like that which I advised others to take a shot at.
That’s why I called in the big guns. It started with a blow-dry on Thursday evening before leaving home (didn’t want to waste valuable drinking networking time washing and styling my hair). Queensland frock queen Sacha Drake had me feeling very glam at the pre-event Friday night and the post-conference dinner on Saturday night. Not Your Daughter’s Jeans reduced the size of my bum for sitting on stage for the social media panel at the conference. And Jane Iredale makeup artist Jess had me looking fresh when I wasn’t feeling quite so zesty when she arrived on Saturday morning.
*fabulousity is in fact my word of the week, coined by the uber-fabulous Squiggly Rick, who gratefully added me to his dance card at the conference dinner even though I may or may not have danced on stage with a Dyson vacuum cleaner.

Thanks Tork and yes, I think you’re on to something with that niche blog. My husband does do a monthly post here on Styling You called Manland you might like to check out.
Oh to have just a smidge of your styling ability … you are certainly the best advertisement for your brand! xo

Your too kind, Bronnie. Some days it’s so great NOT to step out of the house because I don’t have to do the “brand”. Having said that, I do enjoy a good frock up!!
You looked FABULOUS. Was so jealous of your gorgeous dress.
Author
(thank-you!) And I of your shoes!

Oh, Kelly, you are too gorgeous – loved meeting you and you are just as beautiful in real life as you are on your blog.
You looked fab! The before shot of the makeup shows that the Jess from Jane Iredale had a great canvas to work with!

You’re too kind, Miss Glowless – I had only slept a few hours – I was thankful for her skilled concealer application.
Outfits look great, Nikki.
You bought the CR necklace I was trying on recently – I put it back as I had already made some purchases and was making an effort to reign in my credit card but am thinking twice now…!

I had been looking at it for some time too – picked it up in Sydney on Friday afternoon before the conference!
You look stunning! Have been eyeing off that country road top…off i go to purchase it!

Thanks Suzey – and yes, I love that shirt – also like it in the charcoal but decided on the khaki for contrast.
You were every inch of “fabulosity” Ms Stying You (Dyson dance off or not…!)

You rocked it sister.

I need more Woogsworld nutritional advice please – and ziplocked bags of my accessories so I don’t lose the earrings I was supposed to wear.
Look at you loveliness! You look SPECTACULAR in that TYLER dress. I didn’t realise Wunderlust got top billing on the poster (in the background)!

Why thank-you Rosa. Wanderlust is in the background of that photo as it was at the event put on by her sponsors, GSK.
