The excitement had been building for months but as bloggers started tweeting yesterday from airports all around Australia, it was reached squealing fever pitch.
My own squealing got postponed due to a flight delay but I quickly caught up. The vision of Mrs Woog and Kristin from Wanderlust hanging outside Country Road in Oxford Street, Sydney will do that.
(Unfortunately my flight delay also meant I missed hearing Mia Freedman talk about her role as ambassador for the Vick’s Road to Relief initiative. It’s an ongoing initiative between Proctor & Gamble and UNICEF to raise funds and awareness to combat pneumonia in children living in developing countries. Visit www.vicksroadtorelief.com for more info.)
But back to the squealing …
Kristin is here in Australia for many reasons, not least because she’s been adopted into the Australian blogging community.
My welcome gift to her was a shopping/styling session, which we managed in record time before checking into the hotel and getting all schussed for the welcome event at The Arthouse held in her honour by sponsors GSK.
The squealing may have amped up a notch at this point. Some may blame the mini vodka, passsionfruit and orange cocktails; some may blame the size of the goodie bag; me it was seeing and putting a face to so many amazing bloggers. Bloggers who I read every day. Bloggers who make me laugh. Bloggers who make me cry.

Bern from So Now What? and Kerri Sackville, author extraordinare and blogger at Life and Other Crises
Next squeal stop was the Nuffnang party at Soho in Potts Point. Got to love a glow stick that gives you access to an open bar.
They really shouldn’t put a bed in a function with an open bar though … It can bring out the vixen in anyone …

Hi Tork, let’s just say that the dudes in the room were very brave. I’d say about 170-10 was the ratio.
Lordy..!
Loads of fun, Nikki! I do feel like a bit of a nut for missing out, it’s true. x
It was a great event but I think I will pay for it this week!
Best. Day. Ever!!! xoxo
I am so very jealous! Have a wonderful time. Although I am disappointed that the name tag in the last photo of Mrs Woog is covering up her ample cleavage. xoxox
Do not fear, there were plenty of cleavage revealing opportunities later on!
AWwww! Wish I was there. Looks so much fun! Have a GREAT weekend x
