On the 8th day of Christmas …

On the 8th day of Christmas … I got my beauty fix while still being charitable and thinking of the environment at Lush.  Yes, you heard right.  Beauty+charity+environment all in one sentence.  A gift from Lush is always well received in this house but this Christmas the beauty brand has gone above and beyond.

Lush has created the Charity Pot ($29.90 for 240g) – a divine hand and body lotion, scented with geranium and ylang ylang and skin-softening cocoa butter and almond oil.   Each time a Charity Pot is sold, Lush is donating 100% of the price (minus taxes) to grassroots charities to help them achieve the goals.  This year those charities include: The Soi Dog Foundation, Devils in Danger FoundationWildlife Information Rescue & Education Service, Music Outback Foundation, Sea Shepherd Conservation Society and Against Animal Cruelty Tasmania.

But wait, it gets better.  Don’t wrap your purchase in paper, opt for the $5.50 Knot Wrap instead. These vintage scarves not only offer an eco-friendly alternative to gift wrapping but also can be used afterwards any way you like.  As a head scarf while driving in a convertible with the top down, anyone?
