I’m off to Melbourne later this month to speak at an amazing two-day seminar. I’ll be talking about how to create an extraordinary image but there be others talking about lots of really important stuff like finance and relationships. (If you’d like to come along, check it out here. The cost is only $47 for two days!)
… anyway, have convinced Mr Styling You that I’ll be working REALLY hard over the two days. But I fear he isn’t falling for it one little bit.
I mean, I will be in Melbourne. We have been to Melbourne together and he’s seen my eyes get all sparkly the moment my well-heeled feet hit the pavement at Tullamarine.
He knows I have one thing on my mind (and, no people, it’s not THAT). It’s shopping, of course.
And Melbourne, today, you have given me one more reason to have Shopping imprinted on my mind: Mecca Maxima.
Mecca Maxima is seriously Mecca Cosmetica and Kit Cosmetics on steriods. It’s yet another glorious vision from Jo Horgan, who quite frankly must have one hell of a home beauty cabinet. (Jo, if you’re reading this, can I come over and just look?)
I have it on good authority that Mecca Maxima is the ultimate beauty playground (I was invited to attend the opening today but had a client booked to take shopping so had to pass up on the playing).
This is what I’ve been told:
“This new beauty concept offers the biggest lineup of prestige, niche, emerging and well-loved beauty brands in one larger-than-life store, supported with comprehensive service and customised advice, in an open-sell, self-serve environment. More brands, more products, more opportunities to experience more beauty than ever before.”
And these are some of the 100 brands you’ll find there offering more than 3000 products:
Nars, Stila, Philosophy, Comme des Garcons, Smashbox, Kiehl’s, Origins, Clinique, YSL, Clarins, Prada, Chloe, Stella McCartney, Giorgio Armani, Ralph Lauren and Marc Jacobs.
Yes, somebody try and hold me back. Melbourne and Mecca Maxima, I’m coming.
