Welcome to Fabulous Friday. Every week, I share a little about my week, the good stuff (I’m not into the negative), a little retail therapy and a few fun moments. Then it’s your turn. What made your week? Did you find a fashion bargain? See a great movie? Read an inspirational book? Let me know by leaving a comment below.
Wow. What a week. I has the best Saturday last weekend getting primped and preened ahead of the Sunshine Coast Business Woman of the Year awards. No, I didn’t win but the night was a massive celebration of the talent that lies within my community. I loved that I know and work with so many of the other finalists – on the night we were all made to feel special for our collective achievement. And I dressed the MCs, Like Chocolate for Women authors, Kim Morrison and Fleur Whelligan, and the network’s president, Sue Willis, with the help of Mooloolaba boutique, Zambezee. That was special. Almost as special as the crazy, bad dancing we did at the Hyatt Coolum’s “nightclub” after the event. Did someone say Paradise by the Dashboard Light? Oh dear.
So here I am at the start of the night thanks to makeup artist Pru Edwards and hair stylist Maria Faulder from Suite Three …
And here I am about 1am with some of my closest friends …
Needless to say, all that fun was clearly too much for an old mother of three. A cold I’d been staving off all week took hold and I didn’t get out of bed on Sunday. {It wasn’t the vodka, lime and sodas, truly. You believe me, don’t you?}
Croaky, who me?
On Wednesday evening I packed up my croaky voice and headed out to the monthly meeting of the Zonta Maroochy, where I had been asked to be guest speaker. I like nothing more than talking about style, accessories and clearing out wardrobes and this group of women was a fantastic audience. Here I am with President Lyn Gardner.
Lust-have of the week
I have statement earrings, statement necklaces, statement cocktail rings and statement cuffs. What’s next on my statement list? A statement watch, of course. And I think this watch from Jaeger-LeCoultre could be the one {well Diane Kruger is brand ambassador for this range and that suits me!}. Anyone want to sponsor me?
Beauty find
Ever wondered how a makeup look would turn out on you before you head to the counter to trial? Wonder no more. Thanks to modern technology, Estee Lauder now has a virtual makeup tool. Upload your own photo and try on the latest shades for lips, eyes and cheeks. Save your looks and share them with your friends on Facebook. Use it to find the right foundation and lipstick or discover your best blush and eyeliner.
