Oscars 2010. Who won your vote for best dressed?

Twitter went into meltdown earlier today.  Tweet after tweet commenting on Hollywood celebs walking the red carpet.

It was Hollywood’s night of nights. It really doesn’t get any more glamourous.  The frocks, the dos, the shoes, the bling.  It’s a fashion feast.  What’s not to tweet?

Who was you best dressed?

For me, Maggie Gyllenhaal in Dries Van Noten won hands down.  Her choice of on-trend, royal blue, digital print strapless dress may have been a gamble but it paid off.  Maggie stood out in a sea of predictable nudes and sculptural styles like a breath of fresh fashion air. Jewels were pared back to two bracelets and earrings. Hair with just enough height back in a bun.  Lips a luscious pink. And, Sarah Jessica Parker take note, Maggie gave the heavy spray tan a big swerve.

Want to steal Maggie’s look in a cocktail interpretation next Spring?  Look no further than Tulipani‘s Spring 2010 collection.  The digital print on this divine Femme Fatale silk georgette/linen dress was created from original artwork by the label’s Nick Scalisi.  Love.
