I’m all a Gaga for MAC’s in-store Spring Colour Forecast events

Need a little boost?  I find a new lippie works wonders … or a blush, or eye colour …

If you’re feeling what I’m feeling, MAC Cosmetics is the place to head this weekend.  Across Australia, beauty addicts (and all those who believe in giving good lip), can book a one-on-one appointment with a MAC makeup artist and experiment with the Spring Colour Forecast trends.

(NB. I know we’re in Autumn, not Spring but in the world of beauty we’re riding with the Northern Hemisphere … which is kind of cool and fashion forward when you think about it.)

The great thing about this collection is that there really is something for everyone. Do you like your look to be: Cool? Flirty? Naughty? Or Goddess? Maybe you like to mix it up? Choose your mood and let a MAC Artist help you match that style with the latest colour trends.  Each look is based on a core colourway:  Coral, Pink/Lavender, Yellow/Gold and Plum/Burgundy.  And you get an hour to play and learn how best to wear the colours selected.  At the end of the appointment, your look is photographed, and printed immediately to take home or upload to Facebook or Twitpic.

The nearest MAC counter (to the Sunshine Coast) is at Myer Chermside.  Appointments are available Thursday, March 25 (12noon-9pm); Friday, March 26 (10am-5pm) and Saturday (10am-5pm). Ph 07 3632 5132).  Cost is $95 but this is redeemable in product (got to love that).

And while you’re there …

Cyndi Lauper and Lady Gaga support MAC's Viva Glam campaign

Check out the new MAC Viva Glam campaign, featuring Lady Gaga and Cyndi Lauper.  Viva Glam Lipstick was introduced in 1994 to raise money for the MAC AIDS Fund. Over the past 15 years, MAC Cosmetics has launched 10 exclusive VIVA GLAM product lines – including Lipsticks and Lipglasses – each featuring an advertising campaign with a celebrity superstar. Since 1994, the MAC AIDS Fund has raised over $US160 million globally, through the sales of Viva Glam Lipstick and Lipglass, to support women, men and children affected by HIV and AIDS.

Now THAT is giving good lip!
